Denise Renee Marcum, daughter of Dennis Evans and Etta Jean Pyle Ross, was born on July 5, 1971, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and departed this life on November 29, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the age of 50 years.
Mrs. Marcum worked in the bakery at Harps in Dexter. She attended Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston and was a resident of Dexter. Denise had a big heart, she loved helping with kids, and was the primary caregiver for elderly family members.
On April 20, 1992, in Carthage, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Brad Marcum. Mr. Marcum survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to her husband Brad, she is survived by her father and step-mother, Dennis and Betty Evans of Dexter; by her mother, Etta Jean Pyle Ross of Dexter; by her daughter, Paige Carnahan and husband Zackery of Morehouse; by her sister, Jo Ann Tidwell of Dexter, and by her grandson, Travis Ray Carnahan.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Ron King officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery in East Prairie.
