Deborah Jean Cossey, daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson McGowen and Pansy Eloise McGowen, was born on November 9, 1951 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and departed this life on October 8, 2021 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 69.
Mrs. Cossey was the owner and operator of a local cleaning service. Deborah liked reading her Bible. Her husband, Gary, found her prayer journal where she had documented her many prayers for family and friends. She dearly loved her grandchildren. She and Gary enjoyed playing pranks on one another and were always sharing with the kids what they were planning next.
On October 18, 2013, in Branson, Missouri she was united in marriage to Gary Wayne Cossey. Mr. Cossey survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to her husband Gary, she is survived by sons, Jeffrey Wright of Dexter; Christopher Jackson and wife Ashley of Dexter; Brad Richard and wife Lori of Peoria, Illinois; daughters, Melinda Jones and husband Michael of Springfield; Rhonda Seabaugh and husband Matt of Symsonia, Kentucky; Jeri Pritchett and husband David of Park Hills, Missouri; brother, Clifford McGowen of Dexter; sisters, Sue Williams of St. Charles, Illinois ; Robin Rayle of St. Charles, Illinois, and Becky Beach of Veneta, Oregon; twelve grandchildren; Ethan, Noah, Mya, Morgan, River, Jordan, Nicole, Hannah, Samuel, Phoenix, Nastasia, and Christian; and by eleven great - grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her oldest son, Junior Wright.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Tammy Jean Vaughn of Dexter, Missouri born to the late Richard and Barbara (Palmer) Gaines on February 28, 1962 passed away on October 03, 2021 in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 59 years.
Tammy had been a resident of Dexter, Missouri her whole life. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one daughter Angela Gardner of Dexter, Missouri. A host of family and friends also survive.

Carol Ann McGowen, daughter of the late William Rath and Patricia Gowins Rath, was born on July 13, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri, and departed this life on October 7, 2021, at her residence in Puxico, Missouri, at the age of 65 years.
Mrs. McGowen was the owner and agency director of Caring Hearts Homecare. She attended the First General Baptist Church in Puxico. She enjoyed collecting antique furniture and she loved taking care of people and always put others before herself.
On February 17, 1973, in Puxico, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Bobby McGowen. Mr. McGowen survives of their home in Puxico.
In addition to her husband Bobby, she is survived by her son, Steven McGowen and wife Megan of Puxico; by her daughter, Karyn Griffin and husband Steven of Puxico; by her brother, Gene Rath of Puxico; by three sisters, Lisa Bruton of Puxico, Gina Rath of Cape Coral, Florida, and Vicki Clark of Dexter; by four grandchildren, Jakob McGowen, Brooklyn McGowen, Taylor Griffin, and Corbin McGowen; and by two great-grandchildren, nine nephews, one niece, and fifteen great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, October 11, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth Lambert officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.

Gary G. Putnam, son of Vivian Perry Putnam-Johnson of Bernie, Missouri, and the late Glen Putnam, was born on May 9, 1945, in Lindsay, California, and departed this life on October 6, 2021, at his residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 76 years.
Mr. Putnam was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a retired truck driver and had also worked for Arvin Meritor for several years. He enjoyed working in his garden and he made the best fudge. He loved being with his family and playing with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
On December 22, 1991, in Dexter, Missouri, he was united in marriage to JoAnne Musgrave. Mrs. Putnam survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to his wife JoAnne and mother Vivian “VIP”, he is survived by four daughters, Tracy Parker and husband Danny of New Madrid, Missouri, Pamela Kirby and husband Jon of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Laurie Cooper and husband Greg of Dexter, Missouri and Jackie Barteau and husband Scott of Old Monroe, Missouri; by two sons, Kenneth Fortner and wife Shelly of Puxico, Missouri and David Fortner and wife Aimee of Aquilla, Missouri; by his brother, Larry Putnam and wife Bonnie of Dexter, Missouri, by two step-sisters, Becky Edmonds and husband Allen and Brenda Buchanan and husband Rick; by twenty grandchildren; and by twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Other than by his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Rolland Putnam; by two brothers, Max Putnam and Harold Putnam; by his step-brother, Bobby Johnson; and by two sisters-in-law, Jeanie Putnam and Karen Putnam.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, October 11, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.

Darllis Sue Stevens of Dudley, Missouri born to the late Charlie and Janet (Sadler) Williams on December 20, 1957 in Advance, Missouri passed away October 4, 2021 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 63 years.
Darllis was of the Christian faith. She was married to the love of her life Vernice Dean Stevens for 46 years. Darllis was a bus driver for the Puxico Public School District.
Survivors are her spouse Vernice Stevens; one son Nathan (Kaitlyn Anne) of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren; two brothers Charlie Williams of Memphis, Tennessee and Ronnie Williams of Mill Springs, Missouri; one sister Teresa Pronscinske of River Falls, Wisconsin. She is preceded in death by one son Curtis Dean Stevens and two brothers Donnie Williams and Bennie Joe Williams. A host of family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be Saturday October 09, 2021 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri.
Memorial Service will be Saturday October 09, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri.
