Dexter High School Band Brings Home the Trophies at 2021 SEMOBDA Marching Competition

Sikeston, MO - The SEMOBDA Marching Competition was held at Sikeston High School on Saturday, October 9, 2021.

Dexter High School received Outstanding Marching, Music, and Percussion in the Parade Competition.  

They also finished First Place in their Parade Competition.

Class 2 Field Competition:

1st Place - Puxico

2nd Place - Corning, AR

3rd Place Caruthersville

Class 3 Field Competition:

1st Place - Pocahontas, AR

2nd Place - Kelly

3rd Place - New Madrid County Central

4th Place - East Prairie

Class 4 Field Competition:

1st Place - Cape Central

2nd Place - North County

3rd Place - Perryville

4th Place - Sikeston

5th Place - Dexter

Parade Competition:

Junior High 1st Place - NMCC, 2nd Place - Caruthersville

Non-MSHSAA 1st Place - Richland, 2nd Place - Holcomb, 3rd Place - Oran

Red Class 1st Place - Puxico, 2nd Place - Bloomfield, 3rd Place - South Pemiscot

Blue Class 1st Place - Kelly, 2nd Place - East Prairie, 3rd - Place Caruthersville

Green Class 1st Place - Dexter, 2nd Place - NMCC

Outstanding Marching  JH - NMCC, Non-MSHSAA - Richland, Red Class - Puxico, Blue Class - Kelly, and Green Class - Dexter

Outstanding Music JH - Caruthersville, Non-MSHSAA - Richland, Red Class - Puxico, Blue Class - Kelly, Green Class - Dexter.

Outstanding Auxiliary JH - Caruthersville, Non- MSHSAA - Richland, Red Class - Puxico, Blue Class - Kelly, Green Class -NMCC

Outstanding Percussion JF - NMCC, Non-MSHSAA - Richland, Red Class - Bloomfield, Blue Class - Kelly, Green Class - Dexter

2021 MSHSAA Class 1, District 3 Girls Volleyball Championship Tournament Bracket Released

Advance, MO - The 2021 MSHSAA Class 1, District 3 Girls Volleyball Championship Tournament seeds and bracket has been released.

Meadow Heights earned the #1 seed and has a bye in first round play.  They will play the winner of the Leopold/Oran game in semifinal action on Monday, October 25th at 6:0 p.m.

Seeds are as follows #2 Advance, #3 Bell City, #4 Leopold, #5 Oran, #6 Zalma, and #7 Marquand-Zion.

Advance High School will host the tournament.

Schedule for Friday, October 22, 2021:

4 p.m. #2 Advance vs #7 Marquand-Zion

5:15 p.m. #3 Bell City vs #6 Zalma

6:30 p.m. #4 Leopold vs #5 Oran

Semifinals will be at 6:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. on Monday, October 25th.

Class 1, District 3 girls volleyball championship will be held at Advance High School on October 26th at 6 p.m.

Febe is a freshman at Dexter High School and is the daughter of Clete Worley and Jill Worley.

Her grandparents are Ann Miller and Sue Worley.

She is a member of FCCLA and Pep Club.

Febe plays tennis and basketball.

Her hobbies are hanging out with friends and family, traveling, and shopping.

She attends Church of Christ.

Natalie is a senior at Dexter High School and is the daughter of Joe and Kate Sells.

Her grandparents are Peggy Sells and the late Ron Sells, Sandy and Glenn McMullin.

She is a member of Sr. Beta Club.

Natalie was Most Valuable Player for JV Tennis her sophomore year and Highest Winning Percentage for tennis doubles her junior year.

Her hobbies are hiking, being with her friends and online shopping.

Dexter, MO - 2021 Lady Bearcat Tennis Team Spotlight - Julianna Rivera.

Julianna is a senior at Dexter High School and is the daughter of Julio and Tiffany Rivera.

She is a member of FCCLA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Pep Club, National Honor Society, National Sr. Beta Club, HOSA, Future Business Leaders of America, Yearbook Staff and Model UN. she is also the Club President for FCCLA.

She has earned recognition as Most Valuable Player - Tennis 2020, Most Aggressive Wrestler Winter Sports 2021, and Most Valuable Player - Wrestling Winter Sports 2021. She was a District Championship Wrestler and State Qualifier in Wrestling.

She is plays sports on the Dexter Varsity Tennis Team, Dexter Varsity Girls Wrestling Team, and Dexter Track & Field Team.

Her hobbies are being happy and kind to everyone!  She likes to hanging out with friends, working hard and making memories.

She attends Lighthouse Christian Church in Dexter.
