Arcadia Valley High School Will Host Class 3 District 1 Cross Country Meet

Arcadia Valley High School will host the Class 3 District 1 Cross Country meet on 10/30.

There is a new system in place this year. 

There will only be four districts in each of the five classes, instead of eight districts.

The top four teams and top 30 individuals will advance to the state meet.  

Class 3 District 1 Cross Country is made up of the following teams:

Dexter

Doniphan

Fredericktown

Gateway

Hancock

Herculaneum

John Burroughs

Kelly

Kennett

Lift for Life

Lutheran South

Maplewood

Metro

Notre Dame High School Will Host the Class 1, District 1 Girls Tennis Tournament

Notre Dame High School will host the Class 1 District 1 Girls Tennis Tournament. 

The individual tournament will be on October 9th and the team tournament is October 4-8.

Class 1 District 1 tennis is made up of the following teams:

Rivera-Comfort Finish 2nd at Kennett Lady Indians Tennis Invitational

Kennett, MO - The Dexter Lady Cats tennis team earned a 2nd place trophy at the Kennett Lady Indians Tennis Invitational on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

Julianna Rivera and Maci Comfort received the top seed for the doubles tournament that featured players from Dexter, Kennett, Sikeston and Windsor (Imperial).

Rivera-Comfort won 6-0, 6-1 in the first round then faced Kennett’s Macy Bazzell and Malea Lack 7-5, 7-5 in the semifinals.

Kennett’s Handley McAtee and Christi Tejada beat Rivera-Comfort 6-1, 6-2 in the championship match.

Kennett won the singles tournament.

Dexter, MO - Senior Magi McBride was named the MaxPreps 2021 MO Class 3 Volleyball Defensive Leader in high school this week.  Congratulations Magi!

"Magi has worked really hard all summer and was determined to come in and fill our libero position," commented Starla Pulley, Dexter High School volleyball coach.   "She has continued to improve her communication on the court and her serve receive is spot on.  She has great leadership ability and can't wait to see how the season ends up for her."
