Miss DHS Candidates were announced on Friday, September 10th.  On Monday, September 13th Miss DHS was held at Charles Bland Stadium in front of the entire high school student body.

Avery Neely is the daughter of John and Leslie Neely.

She is a member of varsity volleyball, varsity basketball, and varsity track teams.

Avery is also a member of FCCLA, Future Business Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, National Honor Society, National Sr. Beta Club, HOSA, and Pep Club.

In the future, Avery plans to attend a four-year college and become a nurse practitioner. 

Avery’s escort is Camden Riley.

Camden is the son of Andy and Natalie Riley.

Camden describes Avery as smart, sporadic, and funnyish.
