![I-57/U.S. 60 Mississippi, New Madrid, Scott and Stoddard Counties Reduced for Surface Treatment](/img_vg1b_910_800.png)
Interstate 57/U.S. Route 60 in Mississippi, New Madrid, Scott and Stoddard Counties will be reduced to one lane in each direction as contractor crews improve the driving surface. This will be a moving operation.
This section of roadway is located between Route B in Bertrand, Missouri to Route 25 in Dexter, Missouri.
Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Sept. 13 and Tuesday, Sept. 14 and Tuesday, Sept. 21 through Thursday, Sept. 23 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
The work will include applying a high friction surface treatment. This process involves placing a thin layer of specially engineered, durable, high friction aggregate to the driving surface to improve traction.
The work zone will be marked with signs during this moving operation. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.

Stoddard County Health Center Director Ben Godwin, has confirmed 64 new cases of COVID-19 since the last update on Wednesday, September8th.
The county now sits at 181 active cases of COVID-19 and 89 COVID-19 related deaths.
Stoddard County has seen 4596 total confirmed case of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
Broken down by age group the confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic are:
0 to 19 - 744 cases
20 to 29 - 681 cases
30 to 39 - 624 cases
40 to 49 - 693 cases
50 to 59 - 590 cases
60 to 69 - 563 cases
70 to 79 - 411 cases
80-plus - 290 cases
Broken down by gender the county has confirmed 2,048 cases in males and 2,548 cases in females.
Godwin released an update on the nursing facility outbreak. There have been 61 total confirmed cases with 3 active cases. The three active cases are among the residents, there are no active cases among the the staff. There have been eight deaths in nursing homes.
An updated community breakdown of active cases has been released. These numbers do not include the nursing facility outbreak. Dexter has 74 active cases, Bloomfield 28, Advance 21, Bernie 18, Bell City 16. Puxico 13, Essex 5, Parma 2 and Dudley 1.

Route O in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews repair the bridge over Drainage Ditch # 287.
This section of roadway is located from County Road 316 to County Road 371.
Weather permitting, work will take place Wednesday, Sept. 8 and Thursday, Sept. 9 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.

Route TT in Stoddard County will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.
This section of roadway is located from Route 60 to County Road 642.
Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, Sept. 7 through Friday Sept. 10 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Open to local traffic only.
