Louise Imogene Smith of Bloomfield, Missouri was born to the late Otis Jasper and Winnie Weaver on June 10, 1931 in Bloomfield, Missouri and passed away on September 3, 2021 in Dexter Missouri at the age of 90.
Louise was a cook on the river boat working many years. She loved cooking, outdoors and gardening. Louise married Lewis Lee Smith in 1949 in Tucson Arizona, and was of the Baptist faith, Lewis preceded her in death in 1984.
Louise is survived by her two sons Richard Smith of Bloomfield, Missouri and Jackie (Janet) Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; one brother Don Weaver; three sisters Melba, Dorothy, and Georgie. Louise is preceded in death by her parents Otis and Winnie Weaver; one son Gerald Smith; one daughter in law Judy Smith; two brothers Dale and James Weaver. A host of family and friends survive Louise.
Graveside Service will be held Saturday September 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Hills Cemetery near Dexter.
Interment will follow in Hills Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Myrlte Marie Swallows of Dexter, Missouri born to the late Melvin and Lola (Davis) Slaughter on August 18, 1930 in Stoddard County, Missouri and passed away on September 03, 2021 in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 91 years.
Myrtle married Elmer Allen Swallows on August 16, 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas. She attended the First Christian Church in Dexter, Missouri. She enjoyed quilting, camping and fishing.
Myrtle is survived by two sons Allen (Vera) Swallows of Dexter, Missouri and Dean (Marsha) Swallows of Dexter, Missouri; four grandchildren Travis (Kelly) Swallows of Ohio, Jeff Swallows of Dudley, Missouri, Jerod (Amy) Swallows of Puxico, Missouri and Jeremy Swallows of Dexter, Missouri; six great grandchildren; one sister Juanita Shelton of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Lola Slaughter; her husband Elmer Swallows and one great grandson Jeffrey Swallows. A host of family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be Wednesday September 08, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Dorothy Irene Coleman of Dexter, Missouri born to the late Ben and Emmer (Lane) McCormick on July 23, 1926 passed away on September 04, 2021 in Advance, Missouri at the age of 95 years.
Dorothy married Alfred Coleman on June 21, 1944 in Piggott, Arkansas. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and doing puzzles.
Dorothy is survived by one son JW Coleman of Dexter, Missouri; two daughters Connie Smith of Dexter, Missouri and Janet Conner; four grandchildren Katie Coleman, Gage Coleman, Kyle Smith and Hillary Mercier; two great grandchildren Lucas Green and Logan Harmon.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ben and Emmer McCormick; her husband Alfred Coleman; one son Keith Coleman; five sisters Ruby Coleman, Eva Frank, Wanda Williamson, Ruth Woods and Mildred Blecher; two brothers Ralph McCormick and Orville McCormick. A host of family and friends also survive.
Graveside Service will be Tuesday September 07, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri.

Robert "Bob" Dean Rainwater, son of the late Roscoe Rainwater and Mae VanMatre Rainwater, was born on February 2, 1946, in Clubb, Missouri, and departed his life on August 29, 2021, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 75 years. Bob’s death came as a shock to his friends & family. He had contracted the COVID 19 DELTA variant & was gone in a matter of days. The family would like to encourage everyone to get fully vaccinated so they do not have to suffer the way Bob did or have to bury their loved one.
Mr. Rainwater was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving off the coast of Vietnam on the U.S.S. Forrestal during the horrific accidental fire. He was also a former art teacher that was well loved in the Puxico, Centerville, and Oran school districts. Bob had also worked for a local electrician & had owned & ran his own cabinetry business. Prior, he had pastured 2 different churches & then became the assistant pastor of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship for many years. In more recent years he attended the New Covenant Fellowship Church in Poplar Bluff and was a resident of Poplar Bluff. He was a licensed ham radio operator, enjoyed the sport of hunting, and the hobby of gun collecting. Bob also enjoyed spending time with his family & dogs Joker & Little One, taking Little One on daily rides on the side by side, & spending time with his grand dogs – Cupcake, Pig, & Bella Flopsy Rainwater Baker CGC TKN.
On June 10, 1972, in Bloomfield, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Janet Henry. Mrs. Rainwater survives of their home in Poplar Bluff, MO.
In addition to his wife Janet, he is survived by his daughter, Carol Rainwater Baker & her husband Clayton Baker, of Poplar Bluff, MO; by two brothers, Jim Rainwater of Centerville, MO and Marvin Rainwater of Bloomfield, MO; and by a sister, Kay Rainwater Lee of York, Pennsylvania, & their spouses Pat, Jean, & Gail.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry Rainwater, Garry Rainwater, and Tom Rainwater; and by his sister, Darlene Meloy.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, September 10, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. A memorial service will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.

Rick L. Harris, 61, passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2021 in Malden, MO.
Rick was born on November 11, 1959, in Dexter, MO to Roy and Shirley (Simmons) Harris. He was a Christian and was baptized in 1978 at The Assembly of God in Burns, Tennessee.
Rick had a great sense of humor and always knew how to bring a smile to those around him. He was a lover of movies, with an impressive knowledge of facts and trivia about many. Rick also loved music, especially The Eagles.
Rick was an incredibly caring person who never forgot a name, and he always made sure to let his family know he loved them dearly. Never short on hugs or nice words, his warm greetings and sweet nature will always be remembered. Rick was kind and thoughtful, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Rick is survived by his parents, Roy & Shirley Harris of Dexter, MO; one brother, Kevin Harris of Houston, TX; one sister, Tammie Harris of Dexter, MO; three nieces, Crystal Cunningham of Dexter, MO, Tasha Roberts of Haymarket, VA, and Danielle Keaton of Washington DC; one nephew, Dustin Cunningham of Cape Girardeau, MO; four great-nieces; four great-nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rick was preceded in death by an infant son, Rory Harris.
A private graveside service for his family will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Bernie, MO.
