In Memory of Betty “Tiny” Grubbs

Betty “Tiny” Grubbs, daughter of the late Willie Willard Cheatham and Vera Sanders Cheatham, was born on September 3, 1941, in Manilla, Arkansas, and departed this life on August 23, 2021, at her residence in Essex, Missouri, at the age of 79 years.

Mrs. Grubbs was a member of the Church on the Rock in Morehouse, Missouri. She enjoyed going to church and gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeanie (Enos) Hill of Essex, Missouri; by three sons, David Grubbs, Terry Mark (Beth) Grubbs, and Randy (Rhonda) Grubbs, all of Sikeston, Missouri; by seven brothers and sisters, Jean Burkett of Lindale, Texas, Annie Simpson of Manila, Arkansas, Betty Jones of Dexter, Missouri, Calvin Arnold, Shirley McIntyre, and Ronnie Cheatham, all of Sikeston, Missouri, and Teresha Harris of Bloomfield, Missouri; by fourteen grandchildren, Rena Wiley, Barbara Johnston, Davie Grubbs, Corey Grubbs, Chad Grubbs, Josh Grubbs, Shandi Grubbs, Jonathan Hankins, Chelsea Grubbs, Travis, Grubbs, Brianna McRoy, Bryson McRoy, Jackie Imlerzundel, and Shawn Edwards; and by twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Margie Denton, Johnny Cheatham, Jack Cheatham, Boyce Cheatham, Tommy Cheatham, Mary Griffin, and Virginia Wright.

Graveside services will be conducted at Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri, on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Curtis True officiating.

Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is assisting with arrangements.
