Sherrill Dean Corbin, son of the late Chester B. Corbin and Catharine E. Mossman Corbin, was born on September 9, 1947, in Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on August 3, 2021, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 73 years.
Mr. Corbin was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. He was the owner and operator of Sherrill Corbin Sheet Metal. He enjoyed woodworking, repairing sewing machines and spending time with his family. He was a member of the New Bethel General Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri, and a resident of Dexter.
On November 29, 1968, in Idalia, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Judy Cooper. Mrs. Corbin survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to this wife Judy, he is survived by his son, Kevin Corbin and wife Karen of Bernie, Missouri; by two daughters, Deana Brents and husband Kevin of Dudley, Missouri and Christi Hubbard and husband Brad of Dexter, Missouri; by two sisters, Sharon Wilburn of Kilgore, Texas and Barbara Razer of Risco, Missouri; by six grandchildren, Taylor Corbin, Jackson Hubbard, Madissen (Logan) Asher, Jacquelyn Corbin, Jebidiah Hubbard, and Joshua Brents; by four great-grandchildren, Emmett Corbin, Evelyn Corbin, Caleb Brents, and Evelyn Brents; and by numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Corbin.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 6, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors.
