Elwood Lee Rush, son of the late Elvis Aaron Rush and Ida Thornton Rush, was born in Gosnell, Arkansas on May 30, 1924 and departed this life at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on July 15, 2021 at the age of 97.
Mr. Rush had served his country in the United States Army. He was a retired farmer, a member of Bernie Church of Christ and lived in Bernie
He was united in marriage to Cinda Bell Keeling in Blytheville, Arkansas on December 13, 1943. She preceded her husband in death on January 5, 2005.
Other survivors include one son-in-law, Richard Gourley of Malden, Missouri; by one brother, Ira Rush & wife Sylvia of Marble Hill, Missouri; by one sister-in-law, Hazel Rush; by two grandchildren, Candy Mitchell & husband Brian of Kennett, Missouri and Tina Duncan & husband Clarence of Greenwood, Indiana; by one great-grandchild, Zak Adams; also by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his parents and his wife, by one son, Steve Harold Rush; by one daughter, Schree Ann Gourley; by one brother, Olin Rush; by one sister, Mary Warren.
Friends may call at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:00 P.M. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel with Bro. Stan Dauck officiating. Interment will follow in Bernie Cemetery.

Lelia Blanche Dinsmore, daughter of the late Maston Hall and Ruth Haga Hall, was born on August 18, 1937, in Hopewell, Maryland, and departed this life on July 13, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Bluffs in Jefferson City, Missouri, at the age of 83 years.
Mrs. Dinsmore was a former manager of the Hatfield Inn, a former director of the Dexter Chamber of Commerce, and a children’s librarian for 11 years. In Maryland, Blanche worked for the Susquehanna Baptist Association as association clerk and worked as secretary for various churches in the area. She had a talent for decorating cakes and shared that with family and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Dexter. She enjoyed scrapbooking, quilting, gardening, bird watching, and working in her yard. She loved travelling and made many trips to Maryland over the last 40 years.
On August 17, 1956, in Bel Air, Maryland, she was united in marriage to Robert Fulton Dinsmore, Jr. Mr. Dinsmore preceded her in death on December 20, 1993.
She is survived by her son, Robert Scott Dinsmore of Paragould, Arkansas and by her daughter, Pamela (Scott) McQuary of Jefferson City, Missouri.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, William Hall, Earnest Hall, Eddie Lawrence Hall, Ralph Dee Hall, James B. Hall, and Orear Ira Granville “Smokey” Hall; and by two sisters, Florence Edith Anders and Opal Gray Hall.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Floyd Polsgrove was born June 21, 1927, in Campbell, Missouri and passed away July 12, 2021, at his home in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 94.
Floyd was married to Peggy Froman on October 1, 1949, in Campbell, Missouri; they were married for 68 years. He was the father of three children: one son, Kent Polsgrove (Ann) of Dexter, and two daughters, Karen Lane of Dexter, and Kay Stevenson of Manchester, Missouri.
Additional survivors include eight grandchildren: Marianna Lane, Sarah Jarrell (Brad), Nicole Haze, Martha Kolker (Justin), Michelle Lane, Kendra Noyes (Jordan), Tyler Stevenson, and Madison Lane along with six great-grandchildren; Brandon, Emily, Walker, Weston, Brock, and Campbell.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bud Crawford, Fred Polsgrove, Oather Polsgrove, Lois Boring, Murl Geer, Margaret Abernathy, Mareda Dalton, and Harold Polsgrove.
After returning home from military service in the U.S. Navy following the end of World War II, Floyd attended and graduated from the University of Missouri in 1953. Later, he became a senior supervising engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation where he remained through retirement after 35 years. From St. Louis headed south, Floyd built his family right alongside Interstate 55 until making their last homestead in Campbell, Missouri.
Floyd was also active within the community. He was a Mason, an active Rotarian with the Dexter Chapter, a scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America, a community service volunteer with the Cotton Boll Council of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America, an organizing member for the Bootheel Youth Museum in Malden, Missouri and an organizing member of the Peach Fair Board in Campbell, Missouri. He continues to be a member of the Presbyterian Church in Columbia, Missouri, but was in frequent attendance at the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, Missouri.
Visitation will be Friday, July 16, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Graveside services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021, in Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.

David Paul Crews, son of the late Herschel Crews Sr. and Naomi Mae Gilbow Crews, was born on June 6, 1949, in Wardell, Missouri, and departed this life on July 8, 2021, at his residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 72 years.
Mr. Crews was a former landscaper. He was of the Christian faith and attended Faith Fellowship Church in Dexter. David was a jokester and a champion checkers player.
He is survived by two brothers, Don Crews of Dexter, Missouri and Herschel Crews Jr. and wife Jean of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by six sisters, Becky Beard and Mary Jane Jenkins and husband Jerry, all of Dexter, Missouri, Jane Townsend of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Doris Chase of Lone Oak, Arkansas, Ginny Brown of Memphis, Tennessee, and Peggy Nevels of Wappapello, Missouri.

Beth Lynn Weber, daughter of the late Joe E. Weber and Joyce MacDonald Weber was born in St. Louis on August 12, 1961 and passed away on July 9, 2021 at her home at the age of 59.
Ms. Weber lived her entire life in Dexter, MO. She graduated from the State School in Gray Ridge, Missouri and then continued her education at the Stoddard County ARC Day Activity Center in Dexter. She resided in the ARC Walnut Street Group Home and later the ARC Boucher Street Group Home. Ms. Weber was a faithful, lifelong member of Dexter First United Methodist Church where she once served as Assistant to the Sunday School Superintendent and as an acolyte. She had the sweetest soul and loved her church family and loved to send cards to family and friends.
Beth also was especially close to her ARC family. She loved her fellow clients and staff like family. Beth loved to participate in as many activities as possible. She enjoyed assisting with Meals on Wheels, attending dances held at the Dexter Elks Lodge, American Legion and the Malden Community Center. She also enjoyed dining out and going to the movies. At one time, she was a dedicated member of Weight Watchers.
Beth never met a stranger and if she did not know a person’s name, she would be sure to introduce herself and extend a handshake of friendship. However, hugs were her most favorite way of saying hello and introducing herself. Beth loved everyone.
The family is very appreciative of all the love and care provided by the Group Home staff and Stoddard County ARC Day Activity staff. Elara Caring did an excellent job of providing in-home medical care.
Beth is survived by her sister, Cynthia Chesser and husband, Scott, of Dexter, two nephews, Austin Chesser of Richardson, TX and Matthew Chesser of Cape Girardeau, MO.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Dexter First United Methodist Church with Reverend Fred Leist officiating.
Interment will follow at Dexter Cemetery.
