
Betty Ruth McNew, daughter of the late William Kitchen and Laura Brown Kitchen, was born on May 5, 1946 in Morehouse, Missouri, and departed this life on June 14, 2021 at her residence in Bloomfield, Missouri, at the age of 75 years.
Mrs. McNew was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a past member of the United Pentecostal Church in Morehouse. She enjoyed sewing and she loved to dote on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On September 26, 1966, in Morehouse, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Terry McNew. Mr. McNew survives of their home in Bloomfield.
In addition to her husband, Terry, she is survived by two sons, Terry McNew (Paula) of Sikeston, Missouri, and David Shaun McNew of Bloomfield, Missouri; by two daughters, Teresa Callow (David) of Merigold, Mississippi, and Rebecca Breeden of Bloomfield, Missouri; by her brother, Herbert Kitchen of Sikeston, Missouri; by her sister, Diana Wilson of Sikeston, Missouri; by eight grandchildren, Ashleigh Petty, Davey Callow, Logan Callow, Seth Callow, Lauren McNew, Joshua Breeden, Megan McNew, and Carolyn Rose Spraggs; and by nine great-grandchildren, Bella Maldonado, Colton Breeden, Ella Breeden, Amelia Breeden, Eva Callow, Wyatt Callow, Tala Spraggs, Paislee McNew, and Braylan McNew.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Kitchen, Billy Kitchen, and Lloyd Kitchen; by her sister, Sue Laminack; and by her granddaughter, Kailey Callow.
A memorial service will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
