Berniece Kincy McCarty, 104, passed away in Omaha, Nebraska, on May 23, 2021. She was born near Dexter, Missouri on October 17, 1916, to Howard Kincy and Ella Temples Kincy.

Berniece lived in, or near, Dexter for 96 years before moving to Omaha in 2012. While in Dexter, she worked 29 years at Elder’s Manufacturing Company and attended the Dexter Church of Christ.

Besides her parents, Berniece was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Kincy, Frank Kincy, and Aldon Kincy; and three sisters, Edna Bouse, Ruby Lambert, and Dorothy Gibson.

She is survived by one sister, Lucille Dowdy of Dexter, Missouri; a daughter, Beverly June Cose (Jerry) of Omaha, Nebraska; a son, Bill McCarty of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
