James Dale “Jimmy” Myers, son of the late John Richard Myers and Ruby Burkes Myers, was born on December 21, 1949 in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life on May 21, 2021 at his home in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 71 years.

Mr. Myers was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a welder by trade, and he loved to fish and hunt.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy York of Jackson, by his brother Charles Myers and wife Barbara of Dexter, by two sisters, Ruth Morgan of Dexter, and Carolyn Davis of Bloomfield, and by four grandchildren.

Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his only son, Alex Myers, by two brothers, John Myers and Marion “Bud” Myers, and by his sister, Dora Ann May.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
