
Leta Lavera Hodge of Puxico, Missouri was born to the late Clarence and Verbra Browning on November 26, 1937 in Asherville, Missouri and passed away on May 22, 2021 in Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Leta had been a resident of Puxico, Missouri all her life. She was a member of the Puxico General Baptist Church.
Leta married the love of her life Ray Dean Hodge on November 13, 1954 in Puxico, Missouri. Ray Dean preceded her in death on December 29, 2020.
Surviving her are one son Terry (Ruth Ann) Hodge of Puxico, Missouri; two grandsons Danny (Tracy) Taylor, of Advance, Missouri; Rob (Faith) Taylor of Sikeston, Missouri; four great grandchildren and, Trevin and (Taylor) Taylor of Advance, Missouri, Samantha (Clay) Dover of Bell City, Missouri, Jacob and Joel Taylor both of Puxico, Missouri; three great great grandchildren; one niece Patsy (Rick) Sipe of Pontiac, Michigan, and nephew Dannie (Patsy) Hodge of Bernie, Missouri. Leta was preceded in death by one brother Louis LaRue Browing. A host of family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held on Monday May 24, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday May 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Puxico City Cemetery with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.

Pansy Lou (Grim, Leathers) Woodruff, 81, of Dexter, MO went to meet Jesus on May 20, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Sikeston, MO surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Essex, MO to James Alt Grim and Minnie Ethel (Newell) Grim on May 31, 1939. She married Robert Wayne Leathers from Dexter, MO in 1959 and he preceded her in death on August 29, 1975. She married Gene Woodruff from Dexter, MO on October 27, 1979. Gene resides in the family home. She is mother of four birth children, Sheila (John) Armbruster, Leila (James) Busby, Robin (Rick)Tripp of Sikeston and Robert Wayne (Cristi) Leathers II of Rogersville, MO. She is mother of four children by marriage, Scott (Mindy) Woodruff, Gena (David) Leach, Christy Peterson and Danielle (Chris) Moga of Jacksonville, FL.
She is survived by ten grandchildren: James (Andrea) Bowling of Cape Girardeau, MO; Aaron (Carrie) Green of Ozark, MO; Melissa (Larry) Jarrell of Sikeston, MO; Sheena Pincksten of Cape Girardeau, MO; Adam Green of Sikeston, MO; Tiffanie (Justin) Atherton Kottabi of Whitewater, MO; Briana Leathers of Springfield, MO; Sarah Courtney (Morgan) Chin of Frederick, MD; Makayla (Austin) Brown of Sikeston, MO; Rachel (Joel) Tadashi of Springfield, MO and seven step grandchildren: Lynn (Louis) Krauss, Lori (Joe) Windt, Landon Busby Shultz, Mac (Megan) Armbruster, Mavis (Marc) Bulger, Clare (Rada) DeSilva and Luke (Riham) Armbruster. She is great grandmother of thirty-two and great great grandmother of seven.
Pansy was an avid lover of Jesus since young adulthood. She was a prayer warrior and intercessor who had faith in her Redeemer. She is now gone to be with her Forever Love. She leaves behind a family who loves her and has eternal hope in meeting her again in her heavenly home. Above all else she passed on to her family a love for each other as a family and a passion for loving others and encouraging people to love her heavenly Father. She will be greatly missed until we meet again.
Visitation will be at Watkins Funeral Home in Dexter, MO on Saturday May 22 from 10:00-11:00 am for family and 11:00-1:00 pm for family and friends.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 22 at 1:00pm.
Interment will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO on Monday, May 24 (time to be announced).

Wesley “Butch” Bond, son of the late Hubert Bond and Virginia Smith Bond, was born on January 24, 1949, in Sikeston, Missouri, and departed this life on May 19, 2021 at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 72 years.
Mr. Bond was a former maintenance supervisor for Purolator and a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri. He loved to laugh, dance, and joke around.
He is survived by two daughters, Tina Fuwell and husband Ray of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Kayse Bond of Dexter, Missouri; by his sister, Paulette Curtis of Clark, Missouri; and by three grandchildren, Taylor Fuwell of Jackson, Missouri, Morgan Fuwell of Bloomfield, Missouri, and McKayla Annesser of Dexter, Missouri.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. James Malloy officiating.
Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Missouri.

DeEtta Gene Johnston, daughter of the late Eugene Young and Ella McGee Young, was born on February 11, 1945 in Mississippi and departed this life on May 19, 2021 at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 76 years.
Mrs. Johnston started working at Matthews Truck Stop, in Matthews, Missouri, in 1969. She attended the First General Baptist Church in East Prairie, Missouri, and she was a resident of East Prairie.
She is survived by her son, William Scott Johnston of East Prairie, Missouri; by her daughter, Tammy Johnston of East Prairie, Missouri; by two brothers, Troy Young of San Francisco, California and Jerry Young of Sikeston, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Corey Johnston, Taylor Johnston, and Mikayla Martin, all of East Prairie, Missouri; by two great-grandchildren, Avery and Roper Riggs; and by her long-time friend, Roy Nunn of East Prairie, Missouri.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Bennett, Ollie Buchanan, and Marty Young.
A graveside service will be held at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Eric McGruder officiating.

Lottie Jane Scroggins, daughter of the late Elvis Layton and Dorothy Brannon Layton, was born on August 29, 1954 in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life on May 19, 2021 at her home in Bloomfield, Missouri, at the age of 66 years.
Mrs. Scroggins was a former employee of Nupar.
On January 13, 1995, in Dexter, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Terry Scroggins. Mr. Scroggins preceded her in death on September 18, 2006.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Layton of Dexter, Missouri, and Chris Layton of Bloomfield, Missouri; by two brothers, Johnny Layton of Bloomfield, Missouri, and JA Layton of Augusta, Georgia; by three sisters, Lisa Layton of Bloomfield, Missouri, Nancy Hartlein of Dexter, Missouri, and Betty Layton of Bloomfield, Missouri; and by two grandchildren, Caden Layton and Blaize McKague.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Elvis Lee Layton, and by her sister, Carmella Layton.
