Dexter, MO - Dexter High School came out with so much green on Mental Health Awareness Day.
National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day was created to shine a light on the mental health needs of America’s youth.
Students greeted other students and teachers with encouraging signs. Students were also given the opportunity to express their struggles anonymously. They also wrote kind notes to post on other student's lockers.
DHS was very receptive and so many were thankful to recognize struggles and advocating for mental health.
Mental health Awareness Day shines a national spotlight on the importance of caring for every child's mental health and reinforces that positive mental health is essential to a child's healthy development.
