Jean Audrey DeJournett, 92, died April 13, 2021, in the Delta South Nursing Care & Rehabilitation Services at Sikeston, Missouri.

Born May 26, 1928, at Essex, Missouri, daughter of the late W.J. and Anna Fortner Williamson, she was a member of the South Pleasant Valley General Baptist Church near Essex.

On July 11, 1946, at Essex, Missouri, she married Lee Daniel DeJournett.

Survivors include three sons, Terry DeJournett of Starkville, Mississippi, David DeJournett of Essex, Missouri, and Larry DeJournett of Oakland, Tennessee; one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.

Three sisters, Rachel Smith, Ruth Fulkerson, and Lorene Barker and five brothers, Bill Williamson, Bob Williamson, Marion Williamson, Parvin Williamson, and Marvin Williamson, all preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Malloy officiating. Burial will follow in the Triplett Cemetery near Essex.
