Daniel Michael Long, 72, of Essex, Missouri was born to the late Theron Cleveland and Edna Marie Robinson Long on August 6, 1949 in Essex, Missouri and passed away on February 10, 2021 in Essex, Missouri.

Mike had been a resident of  Essex, Missouri for over thirty years he also lived in Texas. He retired from Amco metal industrial manufacturer in Sikeston as a machinist  and enjoyed fishing, gardening and tinkering around with different things.

Surviving are his two sons Thomas Michael Long of Essex, Missouri and Darrol Lynn Long of Branson, Missouri; three brothers Ernie Long of Essex, Missouri, Darrol Long of Fulton, Missouri and Robin Long of Essex, Missouri; three sisters Shannon Heilman of Bloomfield, Missouri Sandra Mowry of Cherryville, Missouri Patricia Charest of St. Louis, Missouri; one grandson; A host of family and friends nieces and nephews also survive.  

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sister.

Visitation will be held Thursday April 15, 2021 from 12:00 until 1:30 pm at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Interment will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors.
