In Memory of Tom Earl Burner

Tom Earl Burner son of the late Clifford Burner and Daisy Arnold Burner, was born in Bernie, Missouri on April 7, 1933 and departed this life at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Missouri on February 2, 2021 at the age of 87.

Mr. Burner was a veteran of the United States Army having serviced during the Korean War. He was a farmer, a member of White Oak Grove General Baptist Church of Rural Bernie, Missouri.

He was united in marriage to Ruth Lavern Anthony in the state of Arkansas on December 23, 1955. Mrs. Anthony survives.

Other survivors include one son, Clifford Burner & wife Karen of Bernie, Missouri; by one daughter, Sandy Barnes of Bernie, Missouri; by two brothers, Wayne Burner & wife Shirley and Jimmy Burner & wife Debbie all of Swartz Creek, Michigan; by one sister, Joyce McPherson & husband Mack of Moberly, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Jason, Summer and Shad; by six great-grandchildren; also by other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death other than by his parents, by one brother, Jarrell Burner and by one sister, Margaret Burner Hudson.

Friends may call at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Saturday morning, February 6, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M.

Graveside services will then be conducted at Bernie Cemetery on Saturday morning, February 6, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Dale Hartle officiating.

Interment will follow.

Mathis Funeral Home of Bernie in charge of all arrangements.
