In Memory of Jo Ann Brown

Jo Ann Brown, 81 of Malden, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Cypress Point-Skilled Nursing by Americare in Dexter.

Jo Ann, daughter of the late Claude Taylor & Ica Thrasher Taylor, was born on February 20, 1939 in Malden, Missouri.

Jo Ann had been employed at the Gossard Garment factory for several years then for the Malden Public School. She was a lifetime member of the Sunnyvale General Baptist Church and a longtime member of the Malden Chamber Maids. On March 23, 1963 in Malden, she was united in marriage to Bobby Dwain Brown.  He preceded her in death on May 1, 1982. 

Her survivors include: son: Jared Brown of Malden, daughter: Kimberly Mize & husband, Michael of Springfield, 3 grandchildren: Madelynn Robinett, Taylor Mize & Dillon Mize and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents,3 brothers: W. C. “Dub” Taylor, Harold “Hank” Taylor & Bob Taylor and 1 sister: Bonnie Furlong.

FAMILY REQUEST MASK BE WORN.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2021 at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

 Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden with Reverend James Hamlett officiating. 

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.

Landess Funeral Home of Malden will be in charge of the arrangements.
