In Memory of Kenneth Eugene Fowler

Kenneth Eugene Fowler, son of the late Eural Cecil Fowler and Elsie Stafford Fowler was born on March 26, 1946 in Parma, Missouri and departed this life on January 9, 2021 at his residence in Bloomfield at the age of 74.

Mr. Fowler was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He was retired from the City of Sikeston, where he worked as the animal control officer. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Walker Baptist Church in Bloomfield. He was a member of the VFW Post # 2659 in Dexter, and was a member of the DAV post.

He was united in marriage to Tammy Garner on July 7, 1978 in Pirmasens, Germany. Mrs. Fowler survives of their residence in Bloomfield.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Kenneth Brian Fowler of Texas and Jeremy Bradford Fowler of Springdale, Arkansas; by three daughters, Bridgett Miller of Davis, Oklahoma, Jennifer Fowler of Bloomfield, Missouri and Rebecca Wheelis of Bloomfield, Missouri; by one brother, Darrell Fowler of Sikeston, Missouri; by two sisters, Thelma Adams of Sikeston, Missouri and Pamela Clary of DeWitt, Nebraska; by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Fowler.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will then be conducted on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Mike Lee officiating. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

In Memory of Brett Michael Warren

Brett Michael Warren, the son of Paul and Amber Ezell Warren of Dexter, Missouri was born on September 19, 2003 at Kennett, Missouri, and departed this life on January 8, 2021 in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 17.

Brett was happy all the time. He had a big heart and would help anybody if he could. He loved his family and loved to give his brothers a hard time. Brett had many friends and they were everything to him. He loved to play his guitar and he loved his headphones and hoodies; he wasn't seen without them.

Besides his parents, Paul and Amber, Brett is survived by two brothers, Seth and Kyle Warren both of the home in Dexter; by his maternal grandparents, Reba Ezell and Tim McDonald of Dexter, Missouri; by his paternal grandfather, Robert Warren Sr. of Bernie; by his maternal grandfather, Dale Ezell of Campbell; and by many family and friends.

Brett was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Tammy Hickson.

Visitation will be conducted on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Eric Garris officiating.

Interment will follow in Chalk Bluff Cemetery in rural Dexter.

Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Teresa Fuwell Allen

Teresa Fuwell Allen was born September 20, 1960 to Hilda and Freemond Fuwell in Chicago, Illinois.

Teresa gained her heavenly wings on January 6, 2021, she peacefully left this world surrounded by the ones she loved the most at her home in Bloomfield, Missouri. She fiercely battled cancer for over 2 years and showed us the true meaning of a fighting spirit.

She unconditionally loved her children, Bryan Bowling, Brookie Morton, Baylee Allen, and Brandon Allen; to her extended children she loved as her own Krystal, Stacey, Sharon, James Michael, and Allen. She deeply cherished her grandchildren, Madison, Ava, Brylee, Sawyer, Tucker, Easton, and Brynleigh. Along with her "kids" at Fuwell's RCF, Teresa leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Teresa was incredibly strong and while she taught us many things, the lesson that will always remain is that family is everything.

She was preceded in death by her father, Freemond Fuwell; her mother, Hilda Fuwell; her grandmother, Helen Prince; her sister, Debbie Graebner; Kevin Quillman, Tom Quillman, and loving fiancé, James Hastings; along with many other loved ones.

Services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00pm with a service immediately following with Rev. Lonnie Vickers officiating.

Brett Warren, a 17 year old junior at Dexter Senior High School, perished in a car accident Friday evening.

Service times are as follows:

Visitation: Tuesday, January 12,2021 from 4pm until 8 pm.

Funeral: Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 2 pm.  All services will be at Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter. A complete obituary will be published later.

In Memory of Clifford Ray Simptkins Sr

Clifford Ray Simptkins Sr., son of Evelyn Floyd Crump and the late Richard Simptkins, was born on April 4, 1960 in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life on January 3, 2021 at Annie’s House in Marble Hill, Missouri, at the age of 60 years.

Mr. Simptkins worked as a landscaper and trimmed trees. He loved listening to the radio, fishing and collecting hats. He enjoyed working in the yard and woodworking. He was a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri.

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Crump of Bloomfield; by two sons, Clifford Simptkins Jr. and wife Jenny of Bloomfield and David Simptkins and wife Sarah of Dexter; by his daughter, Misty Reynolds of Bloomfield; by two brothers, Kenny Briley and Clarence Briley, both of Tennessee; by his sister, Irma Fodge of Benton; and by seven grandchildren, Raelyn, Reagan, Journee, Jansyn, Kaylee, Landon, and Henry.

He was preceded in death by his father and by one brother, in infancy.

Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
