Otter Slough Conservation Area COVID Red Level

Attention Waterfowl Hunters:

Because of COVID-19 positives, the draw facility being closed, and staffing shortages because of being in quarantine, the managed waterfowl hunt at Otter Slough will operate in the Red Level on November 19, 20, and 21. 

If you have drawn a reservation for the ADA Blind or the draw pools/blinds, go to this page to find your specific hunting location and maps and to print your required Daily Waterfowl Hunting Tag (Green Card): https://huntfish.mdc.mo.gov/hunting-trapping/species/waterfowl/waterfowl-managed-hunts/red-level-procedures-and-areas

Please note these details for COVID Red Level Waterfowl Drawings:

Hunters DO NOT need to show up at the Draw Time, they can simply go to their hunting location.

No staff-hunter contact.

No facility use.

100% reservation allocation for residents only through in-season draw.

Hunt positions will be pre-assigned.

No poor line or vacancy filling.

Stoddard County, MO - The 2020 SCAA (Stoddard County Athletic Association) Volleyball All-Conference team has been released.

Coach Hoffman of Advance was named Coach of the Year.  MeKenzie Yount of Dexter was named Defensive Player of the Year and Nyah Wilson of Advance was named Player of the Year.

Oran, MO - The Oran Boys Basketball Invitational Tournament seeds and brackets have been announced.

Kelly earned the #1 seed followed by #2 Oran, #3 Advance, #4 Chaffee, #5 Richland, #6 Scott County Central, #7 Bell City, and #8 Oran JV.

Oran will play Bell City in the first round at 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30th.

Kelly plays the Oran junior varsity team at 6 p.m. on Monday.

Scott County Central plays Advance at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1.

Dexter, MO - The 2020 SEMO Conference Girls Basketball Tournament will be held at the Bearcat Event Center in Dexter from November 30th - December 4th.  

Notre Dame earned the #1 seed followed by #2 Jackson, #3 Cape Central, #4 New Madrid, #5 Sikeston, #6 Poplar Bluff, #7Saxony Lutheran, #8 Dexter, and #9 kennett.

Monday, November 30th 5:30 p.m. Play-In Game #8 vs #9 (Winner will play Notre Dame on Tuesday, December 1st at 5:50 p.m.  Loster will play the loser of the #2 Jackson vs #7 Saxony Luther on Wednesday, December 2nd at 7:30 p.m.)

Monday, November 30th 7 p.m. #3 Cape Central vs #6 Poplar Bluff

Monday, November 30th 8:30 p.m. #2 Jackson vs #7 Saxony Lutheran

2020 8th Grade SCAA Boys Basketball Tournament Seeds Released

Bloomfield, MO - The 2020 SCAA 7th grade boys basketball tournament was originally set to take place in Bernie; however with COVID-19 they chose to move the tournament to Bloomfield for more seating.  The tournament rotates alphabetically throughout Stoddard County schools and next year it is hoped to return to Bernie.  Games begin on Monday, December 16th.  

Dexter earned the #1 seed followed by #2 Bloomfield, #3 Puxico, #4 Bell City, #5 Richland, #6 Woodland, #7 Bernie, and #8 Advance.

Monday, November 16th 5:15 p.m. #4 Bell City vs #5 Richland

Monday, November 16th 6:45 p.m. #3 Puxico vs #6 Woodland

Tuesday, November 17th #1 Dexter vs #8 Advance

Semifinal matches will be TBA depending on which schools win.

Third Place game and Championship games are set for Friday night.

All spectators will have to present a SCAA regular season ticket to attend.  Tickets can only be used during a session where your team plays.  for example, Bloomfield spectators can only use their tickets during a session where Bloomfield plays.  Sections will be marked off for fans to sit in for your respective team.
