In Memory of Farrell Dean Menley

Farrell Dean Menley, son of the late Alvin Menley and Mary Phillips Menley, was born on September 16, 1939 in rural Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on November 6, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 81 years.

Mr. Menley was a former employee of Purolator for twenty-three years, working as a machine operator. He also worked for the International Hat Company for thirteen years and Tyson for seven years. He was a member of Castor River General Baptist Church and a resident of Aquilla, Missouri. He enjoyed being outside and working in his flowers. He loved his animals and he loved to sing.

On November 17, 1961, in Clines Island, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Nancy Ann Eaton. Mrs. Menley survives of their home in Aquilla.

In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by his son, Wayne Menley and wife Barbara of Jonesboro, Arkansas; by his daughter, Teresa Hattenhauer and husband Cliff of Laredo, Arkansas; by his brother, Eugene Menley and wife Phyllis of Dexter, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Meghan Allen and husband Mikey, Dalton Menley, and Morgan Barr and husband Cameron; and by one great-grandson, Jaxson Allen.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, November 8, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Carter and Rev. Mike Lee officiating.

Interment will follow in Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
