Dexter, MO - The 2020 Miss DHS was announced on Thursday, October 22nd.  Due to COVID-19 each candidate was presented and escorted in front of their parents and the high school students at Charles Bland Stadium.

Layne Medler is the daughter of Roger and Sherry Medler.

She is a member of the Cross Country Team, Sr. Beta Club, Student Council, National Honor Society, Scholar Bowl, and HOSA.

Her future plans are to attend a four-year university and work towards a degree in occupational therapy.

Layne's escort is Gage Coleman.  He is the son of Keith and Lisa Coleman.

Gage describes Layne as intelligent, caring, and ambitious.
