Robert Earl Morris, son of the late Earl Barnett Morris and Ruby Healy Morris James was born on January 11, 1945 in Zanesville, Ohio, and departed this life on September 6, 2020 at the SoutheastHealth of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 75.
Mr. Morris was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a farmer and the former owner of Morris Motors in Sikeston. He was currently serving as a Pike Township Board Member. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to hunt and fish.
On October 22, 1966 he was united in marriage to Gloria Beachum in Dexter. Mrs. Morris survives of their home near Advance.
Besides his wife, Gloria, he is survived by two daughters, Robin Morris of Benton, Missouri, and Monti Callow and her husband Ladd of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by two sisters, Earlene Watkins of Oakland, Kentucky and Jeanie French of Dexter; and by three grandchildren, Bryant Morris, Austin Cooper, and Izayah Gordon.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with Rev. Mike Lee officiating.
Full military honors will also be rendered.
