Muriel Dirden, daughter of the late Grover Mosley and Juanita L. Webster Mosley was born on June 13, 1942 in Blytheville, Arkansas, and departed this life on July 18, 2020 at the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 78.
Muriel was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ. She had volunteered with Thursday school and served in that capacity for many years. She enjoyed babysitting children, and she loved and cared for each child as her own. She was a God-fearing woman, who loved reading and studying her bible. She also enjoyed listening to old Elvis albums.
She is survived by one daughter, Jeanna L. Mims and her husband Steven; by two grandchildren, Skylar Mims and Makenzie Mims; by one brother, Gerald Mosley; and by many nieces and nephews, whom she loved.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Mosley and by two sisters, Peggy Rangel and Pat Duval.
Visitation will be conducted at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel with Herman Morse officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
