Edward Taylor, son of the late Tommy Taylor and Doney Page Taylor, was born on August 2, 1937 in Haleyville, Alabama and departed this life on May 23, 2020, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 82 years.
Mr. Taylor was a former employee of Noranda Aluminum, working in the Pot Room and he was a resident of Dexter. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Atlanta Braves, listening to music, and talking with people.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Midgett and husband Robert of Dexter; by his brother, Leldon Taylor and wife Judy of Phil Campbell, Alabama; by two granddaughters, Natalie Midgett of Dexter and Hannah Midgett of Dexter; and by his nephew, Tim Taylor of Phil Campbell, Alabama.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dessie Langley and Ineze Hamby; and by his nephew, Danny Hamby.
Friends may call at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 29, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
