COVID-19 Update from Bloomfield Mayor Bill Aslin

TO: Bloomfield Businesses, School, Churches, Organizations and Citizens

FROM: Bill Aslin, Mayor of Bloomfield

SUBJECT: Covid-19 Virus Update

DATE: May 1, 2020

I want to give an update due to Governor Parsons and Stoddard County Officials recent Orders dealing with the Covid-19 Pandemic. The city council, city department heads and myself want to share the following decisions relating to City of Bloomfield:

• All Bloomfield City Offices will remain closed, entrance by appointment only

• Bloomfield City Library will remain closed until opening procedures can be work out with our Library Staff. We hope these procedures are in place where we can reopen our library on or before Monday, May 11th.

• Bloomfield City Park: All playground area, park pavilions and basketball courts will remain closed. The walking track, ball fields and tennis courts will reopen Monday, May 4th. All must practice social distancing remaining 6 feet apart.

• Businesses, Restaurants, Churches, and Organizations etc may reopen, however you must adhere to Governor Parsons Orders along with the Joint Orders of the Stoddard County Commission, Health Officer and Health Department. I am attaching the Stoddard County Order with this release.

If no spike in positive cases occur in our State/County we are anticipating additional reduction in various restrictions on or before June 1.

Continue all safety measures including personal hygiene along with social distancing of being minimally 6 ft. apart.

Please continue to view our Social Media sites for additional updates.

Stay Safe and God Bless!
