THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PADUCAH HAS ISSUED A * FLOOD ADVISORY FOR... SCOTT COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN MISSOURI... NEW MADRID COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN MISSOURI... STODDARD COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN MISSOURI... * UNTIL 730 PM CDT. * AT 528 PM CDT, A LARGE AREA OF HEAVY RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING NORTHEAST ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA. THE AREA EXTENDED BACK INTO NORTHEAST ARKANSAS. THIS WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA. * SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE... SIKESTON, DEXTER, SCOTT CITY, PORTAGEVILLE, NEW MADRID, CHAFFEE, BERNIE, BLOOMFIELD, AND BENTON. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED, OR PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
