Dexter, MO - The Dexter School board held a Regular Board Meeting on March 24, 2020 at 6 p.m. Below are the meeting minutes.
Call to Order/Roll Call/Pledge The Board President announced the meeting is to begin, ascertains the attendance status of all board members present. He then leads in the saying of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Consent Agenda: The Consent Agenda was approved.
Public Comments: There were no public comments made.
Old Business: None
New Business:
A. The board approved MEUHP health plans for the 2020-21 school year. The board also approved paying $500 per month for health insurance premiums.
B. The board approved budget amendments for the 2019-20 school year.
C. The board approved change orders for the building project.
Discussion Items:
A. The nurse’s report was shared with the board.
B. The principal's reports were shared with the board.
C. The superintendent gave his report to the board.
D. The next board meeting was set for April 21, 2020 at 6:00 pm

1. The board approved the following substitutes for the 2019-20 school year:

2. The board approved the employment of all Probationary Teachers for the 2020-21 school year.
3. The board approved the employment of all Tenured Teachers for the 2020-21 school year.
4. The board approved a employment of the Instructional Coaches for the 2020-21 school year.

Dexter, Missouri - Southwest Elementary honored 2nd Grade students with Positive Office Referral certificates.
This award was presented to students who consistently showed the 3R's RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and READY TO LEARN.
Each student received a certificate and a FREE Taco from Taco Bell.

Dexter, MO - Due to the COVID-19 or commonly called Coronavirus, the Dexter High School cancelled the Top 10% Honors Banquet set for Monday, March 16, 2020. Mrs. Alana Dowdy, high school principal, didn't want the students not to have their moment of recognition and chose to have a quick program in the auditorium during school hours. Parents and the general public were not invited however news media and yearbook staff were on hand to capture the entire recognition of students.
Each grade will have their own article with a photo of the entire group on stage. More photos will be available on the ShowMe Times Facebook page. Times like this we have to adapt. It will be memories that students will tell their children.
Students were also given programs and a yard sign to take home to parents.
The speaker and honored guest was First Lieutenant Ryan Joyner. A video of Ryan's chat with the students will also be posted on the ShowMe Times Facebook page.
The Senior Class as follows:
Shea Baker, Victoria Bess, Madilyn Hampton, Shelby Haynes, Mason Keena, Audrey Lutmer, Olivia Milam, Brice Moore, Blair Rogers, AnnMarie Slaton, and Madison Slaton.
