Missouri voters will head to the polls Tuesday for the presidential preference primary election. Here’s where and when to find the polls in the area.
According to the Missouri Secretary of State’s website, all polling locations across the state are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. Voters in line at closing time have the right to cast votes.
Dexter Wards One, Two, and Three will now vote at the Bearcat Event Center. Dexter Rural will vote at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Prish Center.

Since the March 10th election is a partisan primary election, you will be asked to select only one political party's ballot to vote at the time you check in. Missouri conducts "open" primaries, so voters are not registered with a specific party affiliation.

Congratulations go out to Mr. Gary Wyman who has been elected to fill a vacant 2-year term seat on the Stoddard County Extension Council.
Mr. Wyman is a retired Agriculture teacher who has lived in Stoddard County all of his life. He currently resides in Essex, Missouri.
Mr. Wyman is no stranger to serving on the Stoddard County Extension Council.
He has served on the Council for several years, as a FFA representative and in an appointed capacity as the Council Chairman.
He will help the Stoddard County Extension Council in educational processes, manage finances of Stoddard County extension operations, help carry out extension activities, and elect and organize the local extension council.
On 02/07/2020, the Dexter Police Department, assisted by the SEMO Drug Task Force, Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, conducted a targeted narcotic enforcement sweep in the City of Dexter. The operation began at 1800 hours on 02/07/2020 and concluded at 0600 hours on 02/08/2020. During the operation, Officers conducted 95 traffic stops and conducted 11 residence checks targeting narcotics and drug paraphernalia. During these enforcement stops and residence checks, Officers made 17 custodial arrests and issued 22 citations. The following is a breakdown of the individual arrests made during the operation.

This operation was conducted as a result of months of narcotics investigations and tips from the public.
The Dexter Police Department would like to thank the agencies who assisted in this enforcement operation and the public who provided the information which led to the arrests of some of these individuals listed above.
Names of those arrested are being withheld pending formal charge requests through the Stoddard County Prosecutor’s Office and further drug investigations.
