4th Grade 2020 Scholastic Meet Category Analogies/Spelling Awards

Dexter, MO - On Thursday, February 20, 2020 the Stoddard County Scholastic Meet was held at the Bearcat Event Center for their awards presentations.

The scholastic meet features academic competition between the seven county schools and Woodland Schools.

Those schools are Advance, Bell City, Bernie, Bloomfield, Dexter, Puxico, Richland and Woodland.

Students in fourth through eighth grades test in areas of analogies/spelling, math, science, language arts, social studies, and at the upper levels in general achievement and declamation.

The event offers a unique and much-anticipated opportunity each March for the best of the best academically to test their level of knowledge and problem solving in a one-day testing event.

Each age group and area of award will featured in a separate article on the ShowMe Times!

In fourth grade in the category of Analogies/Spelling from left: Drake Carmode of Dexter third place, Lilly Foster of Puxico second place and Madelynn McGarity of Richland first place.

2020 DHS Senior Night Featuring Logan Wyman

Dexter, MO - Dexter High School celebrated winter sports Senior Night on Thursday, February 27, 2020 prior to the start of the boys varsity basketball game against the Cape Central Tigers.

Logan Wyman is the son of Steve and Jana Wyman.

He is a member of the Bearcat basketball team. He is a 2 year letterman.

After high school, Logan plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau.

His most memorable moment at DHS is winning the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament.

Dexter, MO - Dexter High School celebrated winter sports Senior Night on Thursday, February 27, 2020 prior to the start of the boys varsity basketball game against the Cape Central Tigers.

Garrett Henson is the son of Dennis and Elizabeth Henson .

Garrett is a member of the Bearcat Basketball team. He is a 3 year letterman.

After high school, Garrett plans to attend the University of Missouri - Columbia.

His most memorable moment at DHS was beating Kennett by 23 points in the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament Championship his senior year.

Madilyn Hampton is the daughter of Tom and Jennifer Hampton.

Madilyn is a member of the Bearcat Cheerleading team. She is a 3 year letterman.

After high school, Madilyn plans to attend the University of Missouri - Columbia and major in Health Science.

As a member of the Cheer Squad, her most memorable moment at DHS is winning the Stoddard County Cheerleading Award for the 7th year in a row.

She is a three year letterman.

After high school, Colby plans to attend Murray State University.

Her most memorable moment at DHS is being a part of the 5th, 6th, and 7th County Cheerleaders titles.
