In Memory of Kathryn Todt

Kathryn Todt, daughter of the late John Emil Dumey and Bertha Bles Dumey was born on March 31, 1932 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at her home on the farm at the age of 87 years.

Kathryn was a former secretary for Division of Children’s Services, Scott County Farm Bureau, and Sikeston Region #9 Developmental Disabilities Council.  She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran.

On June 24, 1952 she was united in marriage to Carl Edward Todt Sr. in Oran who preceded her in death on March 25, 2009.

Survivors include two daughters: Mary Beth Todt of Sikeston, Missouri and Susan Howard (Mark) of Jackson, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Angela Todt of Cabot, Arkansas; two grandchildren: Stephanie Howard and Tyler Howard; one step-granddaughter, Hannah Plaff; and one step-great-granddaughter, Amelia Plaff.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Carl Edward Jr., two daughters: Sharon and Darlene; by three brothers: Fred, James, and Marvin Dumey; by six sisters: Hermina Compass, Augusta Doghne, Arvella Steimle, Juanita Kern, Erma Grojean, and Mary Paylor. 

Knights of Columbus Rosary and Prayer Service will be conducted on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at the Guardian Angel Catholic School in Oran with visitation following until 12:00 noon. 

Funeral Mass will then be conducted at Noon at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Heifer International, or Guardian Angel Catholic School.
