Mary Edith Cox, daughter of the late Logan Tucker and Nicie McCaskill Tucker, was born on November 19, 1921 in McNary County, Tennessee and departed this life on February 14, 2020 at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 98 years.

Mrs. Cox was a former certified nurse’s aide for a nursing home in Portales, New Mexico.  She was of the Baptist faith and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Parvin Cox, in McNary, Tennessee.  Mr. Cox preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, Rodgie Cox of Dexter, Missouri; and by her grandson, Ronald Cox of Miami, Florida.

Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

Friends may call at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Lawman officiating.  Interment will follow in Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
