Carolyn Kay Robinson of Bernie, MO passed away January 17, 2020 at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO at the age of 77.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Thomas Junior Robinson; two children, Todd Robinson of Bernie and Tonya Lyons (Dennis) of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren, Holden Robinson (Amanda), Christie Wright (Ethan), and Craig Salsman (Mariah); three great-grandchildren, Anasten Robinson, Gabriel Robinson, and Liam Robinson; two sisters, Virginia Joiner and Marlin Durham (Don); Sister-in-law, Doris Turner; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Preceding her death were her parents, W.C. and Mamie Hillyard; mother in-law and father in-law, Thomas and Mary Sue Robinson; and her sister, Estelle White.
Carolyn was a such a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Carolyn was an individual who always put the needs of others before her own. Carolyn loved to cook and bake. She loved cooking for her family and providing for others in their time of need. Carolyn has owned Carolyn’s Hair Salon in Bernie for several years. Most importantly, she loved her God. She was a woman of faith. For several years Carolyn enjoyed singing and playing the piano in church. Carolyn was of the Christian faith and attended Malden Assembly of God church.
Carolyn now resides in her heavenly home. If she could tell us one thing it would be to get our hearts right with God and come join her. We love you Carolyn and you will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 from Noon until 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Rev. Kenneth Lambert officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
