Michael Wayne Pruitt, son of the late George C. VanPool and Wilma J. Courter VanPool, was born on March 17, 1950 in Malden, Missouri and departed this life on January 4, 2020 at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 69 years.
Mr. Pruitt owned a collision repair shop and was a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses and riding his Harley.
On February 7, 1970, in Libertyville, Illinois, he was united in marriage to Brenda Fotsch. Mrs. Pruitt survives of their home in Bloomfield.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Alysia Pruitt-Gregg and husband Bradley of Columbia, Tennessee and Melinda Pruitt of Bloomfield, Missouri; by his sister, Anita Duba of Bloomfield, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Esther Gregg, Alexis Gregg, Nicodemus Gregg, and Effigenia Gregg; and by eleven nieces and nephews, Joshua Fotsch, Krystal Crecelius, Bradley Fotsch, Erica Fotsch, Kevin Fotsch, Christy Sindle, Melody Patrick, Kassia Raines, Holly Gilbert, Dillon Rickman, and Hailey Keeney.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Darris Gene Pruitt.

Charles “Charlie” M. Corlies, son of the late George W. Corlies Jr. and Marcella Cannon Corlies of Dexter, Missouri, was born on May 20, 1949 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on January 5, 2020 at his residence in Dexter at the age of 70 years.
Mr. Corlies was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a former heavy equipment operator for Brown Construction and a member of Risen Church in Dexter. Charles was a loving father and grandfather. His retirement years were spent enjoying gardening, canning, playing golf, fishing, and giving rides on the golf cart to his great-grandchildren.
On October 2, 1971, in Bloomfield, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Shirley Hughes. Mrs. Corlies survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Candee Copeland and husband Josh of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Mystee Corlies of Dexter, Missouri; by his brother, Bobby Lee Corlies and wife Denise of Jacksonville, Florida; by two sisters, Velma Ruth Ray and Georgia Ann Haney, both of Dexter, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Jade (JD) Jagelovicz, Taylor (Garrett) Hutchcraft, Jake (Sadie) Adams and Austin Adams; and by four great-grandchildren, KC Jagelovicz, Stella Jagelovicz, Tristan Jagelovicz, and Penelope Hutchcraft.
Other than by his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Gene Corlies; by two brothers-in-law, Roger Ray and Ronnie Haney; and by his great-grandson, Cash Adams.

Billy Dean Lee of Bloomfield, son of the late Steve and Pearl McDowell Gibbs, was born in Toppertown, Missouri on April 14, 1933, and passed away at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau on January 4, 2020, at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 21 days. After his parents deaths, he was adopted by the late Charlie and Maud Cook Lee.
Billy accepted the Lord as his savior while on his mail route and faithfully served him the rest of his life. He loyally attended the Trinity United Methodist Church where he was a member and served as trustee, on the finance board and took up the early morning offering. He had also attended the Walker Mt. Zion General Baptist Church.
Billy started working at the Bloomfield Post Office on Nov. 17, 1966 and later became a Rural Mail Carrier serving Route 1. He loved his job and enjoyed meeting and serving the customers on his route, expecially the children who regularly met him at their mail boxes for the suckers he gave them. He served in the U. S. Army for two years during the Korean Conflict and obtained the rank of Corporal A member and Past Master in 1972 or the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge #153 AF & A.M, a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry 32nd degree and a member and Past Patron of Bloomfield Chapter #385, Order of the Eastern Star. He served on the Walker Cemetery Association as a board member for many years Billy and his late wife, Helen, loved to square dance and were very active members of the Thunderbird Square Dance Club at Sikeston.
He was united in marriage to Helen Dean Cravens on March 20, 1953 at the Mt. Pisgah Church in Aquilla.
Surviving are one grandson, Ryan Alan Lee of Dexter; several nieces, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his only son, Thomas Ray Lee; seven brothers, Paul Lee, Willard “Bill” Lee, Leffler Lee, Norman Holder, Steve Holder, Guy Holder and Grover Phillips.
Billy enjoyed life, being with his friends, loved his family, Church and playing golf. He and his son, Tom, played as partners in golf for thirty-two years. They were close and were championship players winning many tournaments around Southeast Missouri. They were known as the “Lee Team”. Later he was known as “The Donut Man” delivering donuts to many in the Bloomfield community.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri. Eastern Star Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. And Masonic Services will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 1:00 pm at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Koerner of Bloomfield Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow at the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield with full Military Honors. Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Patty Lou Beyerbach, daughter of the late Henry Oscar Caldwell and Uva Smith Caldwell, was born on April 2, 1937 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on January 4, 2020 at the New Madrid Living Center in New Madrid, Missouri at the age of 82 years.
Mrs. Beyerbach was a former employee of the Foushee Candy Company and a Homemaker. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter, Missouri and a resident of Bernie, Missouri.
On September 29, 1951, in Dexter, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Herman Beyerbach. Mr. Beyerbach survives of their home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Kay Shelby and husband Terry of Sikeston, Missouri and Shelly Moore and husband Les of Bernie, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Andrew Shelby, Shannon Leggett, Ryan Moore and Paige Riley; and by six great-grandchildren, Kale Leggett, Miles Leggett, Liam Leggett, Conner Shelby, Abby Shelby and Luke Moore.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Lou Beyerbach; and by her brother, Harold Caldwell.

Jasper Norman Edmundson, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, was born on February 2, 1942 and passed away January 3, 2020, surrounded by the family he loved and many of his closest friends.
Jasper “Pete” Edmundson was born to Pansy Litzler and Jasper N. Edmundson, in their home, in Dudly, Missouri.
He attended primary school in Dudley followed by high school in Dexter. After being cut from the high school basketball team, he worked hard and made the team the next year. Upon graduation he received a basketball scholarship to William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. At William Jewell, he joined the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He remained lifelong friends with his fraternity brothers. Following college, he received an academic scholarship to Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he received his law degree.
Mr. Edmundson practiced law in Poplar Bluff for 50 years. His successes led him to a well-deserved reputation as a fierce litigator throughout Southeast Missouri. His “country boy from Dudley” demeanor concealed a brilliant mind and a quick wit. He worked until shortly before his passing.
Jasper also had a passion for helping those in need. He paid for funerals, offered personal and financial help for countless numbers of his eclectic group of friends and associates. He had a biting, filter-less sense of humor. Most importantly, he was a doting son and a loving husband and father.
He is survived by his wife, Vicky Edmundson, by seven children, Lorrie (Kent) Busse, Matthew (Shannon) Edmundson, Jay (Kelley) Edmundson, Jerry Edmundson, Timothy Edmundson, Chelsea (Stephen) Dudycha and Leeza Edmundson and fiancé Sawyer Smith; and by seven grandchildren, Karson and Kade Busse, Bailey, Britten and Jasper “Jay” Edmundson, and Kailey and Maggie Edmundson.
Visitation will be held at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be held at Mt Calvary Power House Church on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
