Bloomfield, Missouri - The East Prairie Eagles upset the Malden Green Wave to advance to the quarterfinals on Thursday evening 56-54 at the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament.
East Prairie led at the end of the first quarter 16-13, but lost a little ground in the second period giving them a one point lead at the half.
Three Green Wave athletes finished in double figures. Junior guard Coy Wade reached a game-high 16 points. Sophomores Marques Jones and Sientez Lerma both tallied 14 points.
Senior 6'1" guard Jack Scruggs recorded a team-high 14 points. Sophomore Jase Aycock and senior Harrison Moore each finished with 13 points.
