
Bloomfield, Missouri - The #3 seeded Dexter Bearcats quickly took care of business on Thursday defeating the #14 seeded Puxico Indians 73-44 in round one of the 63rd Annual Bloomfield Christmas Tournament.
Dexter jumped out in front sinking 29 points in the first quarter outscoring the Indians by 21.
Bearcat Junior Andrew Ellinghouse recorded a game-high 19 points on 8 buckets and one trey.
Cole Nichols, a freshman for Dexter, added 15. He finished with three buckets, two 3-pointers and was 3 for 4 at the charity stripe.
Puxico had three athletes in double digits. Senor Ethan Helm with a team-high 11 points, 6'1" senior Matt Caldwell contributed 10 along with 6'1" junior Nolan Foster.

Bernie jumped out to a 46-19 lead by halftime.
Holcomb's 5'10" freshman Dylan Bradshaw tallied a game-high 17 points and junior Elia Bader contributed 10 points.
Andrew Geohagan, a 6'5" senior and Blake Harty, a 5'8" senior shared a team-high 15 points.
Landon Zoll hit 4 treys and one bucket to get on the board with a total of 14 points.
Johnny Vaughn finished with 12 points on three buckets and two 3-pointers.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The #1 seeded Kennett Indians had a slow start against the Richland Rebels during the first game of the 63rd Annual Bloomfield Christmas Tournament on Thursday, but it didn't take long for them to get into their groove. Finals score Kennett 79, Richland 44.
The Indians tallied 50 points in the first half.
Two players recorded game-high points. Richland junior guard Shai Sherfield for Richland and 6'3" senior Jackson Henfling for Kennett each had 21 points.
Sophomore Ben McMullan recorded 16 points including two 3-pointers the Indians. Marsayv'aun Harrell a 5'11" senior guard also recorded 16 points.

Broseley, Missouri - The Twin Rivers Lady Royals Christmas Classic seeds and bracket have been announced. The four-time defending champions the Lady Bearcats have received the 7th seed.
The 'Cats will open the tournament against 10th seeded East Carter at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, December 21st at Broseley.

Murfreesboro TN - Dexter native Marcus Greer continues his athletic career with a stellar season at Middle Tennessee State University. Greer, a 6 foot 3 inch 285 Redshirt Freshman was named to the All-Freshman Team for Conference USA.
Marcus received multiple awards including being named the team's offensive player of the week and offensive lineman award. Greer was a starter in 10 games this season until he suffered an injury during the game against Rice University and missed the remainder of the season. Marcus is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the Spring practices.
Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders suffered through the 2019 season ending with an overall record of 4 wins and 8 losses (3-5 C-USA). The Blue Raiders have a very young squad and have great hope for the 2020 Fall season. The Blue Raiders finished 5th in the C-USA conference for the year, just one spot below the preseason prediction.
Though Marcus played at Chaminade High School and denotes his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, the Dexter community lays 100% claim of Marcus and his parents, Matt and Lisa Greer, as Dexter natives. Grandparents Gary and Judy Crump and Beverly Hunter and many other uncles, aunts and cousins are reside in Dexter and are very proud of Marcus. The entire community wishes him well in all his athletic and academic endeavors.
