Sarah Louise Wilson-Madison, daughter of Annie Mae Johns and the late Eugene Thornton, was born in Malden, Missouri on January 12, 1962 and departed this life at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on December 9, 2019 at the age of 57.
Ms. Madison loved to cook and was a homemaker and a resident of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Survivors include her mother, Annie Mae Johns of Malden, Missouri; two sons, Jon Wilson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Christopher Wilson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by two daughters, Roxanne Wilson of Sikeston, Missouri and Staci Wilson of Parkville, Maryland; by ten brothers, Odis Johns Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Anthony Johns of St. Louis, Missouri, Patrick Johns of Malden, Missouri, Kevin Johns of St. Louis, Missouri, Danny Johns of the state of Georgia, Lawrence Thornton of Louisville, Kentucky, Ray Thornton of Lilburn, Missouri, Larry Thornton and Terry Thornton both of Sikeston, Missouri and Percy Thornton of Louisville, Kentucky; by two sisters, Brenda Snider of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Sandra Harris of Malden, Missouri; by ten grandchildren; also by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death other than by her father, by one daughter, Sarah LeAnne Wilson; by two brothers, Terry Johns and Eugene Thornton Jr.; by one sister Roxane Johns.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Teresa Campbell officiating.
Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.
