Greer Named C-USA All-Freshman Team

Murfreesboro TN - Dexter native Marcus Greer continues his athletic career with a stellar season at Middle Tennessee State University.  Greer, a 6 foot 3 inch 285 Redshirt Freshman was named to the All-Freshman Team for Conference USA.

Marcus received multiple awards including being named the team's offensive player of the week and offensive lineman award.  Greer was a starter in 10 games this season until he suffered an injury during the game against Rice University and missed the remainder of the season.  Marcus is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the Spring practices.

Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders suffered through the 2019 season ending with an overall record of 4 wins and 8 losses (3-5 C-USA).  The Blue Raiders have a very young squad and have great hope for the 2020 Fall season.  The Blue Raiders finished 5th in the C-USA conference for the year, just one spot below the preseason prediction.

Though Marcus played at Chaminade High School and denotes his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, the Dexter community lays 100% claim of Marcus and his parents, Matt and Lisa Greer, as Dexter natives.  Grandparents Gary and Judy Crump and Beverly Hunter and many other uncles, aunts and cousins are reside in Dexter and are very proud of Marcus.  The entire community wishes him well in all his athletic and academic endeavors.
