In Memory of Patricia “Pat” Ann Duval

Patricia “Pat” Ann Duval, daughter of the late Grover Mosley and Juanita Webster Mosley, was born on June 19, 1944 in Blytheville, Arkansas and departed this life on November 28, 2019 at her residence in Friant, California at the age of 75 years.

Ms. Duval was a former bus driver for the Morgan Hill Unified School District in Morgan Hill, California.

She is survived by her long-time companion, Rick Thompson of Friant, California; by her brother, Gerald Mosley of Sikeston, Missouri; by her sister, Muriel Dirden of Dexter, Missouri and by many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Mosley and by her sister, Peggy Rangel.

Graveside services will be conducted at Dexter Cemetery on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Carolyn Lee Carroll

Carolyn Lee Carroll, daughter of the late Gordon Hill and Mary Harrison Hill, was born on April 28, 1955 in Jefferson City, Missouri and departed this life on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at her residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 64 years.

Mrs. Carroll was a former educator within the Dexter R-XI School District for 27 years.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter.  Carolyn enjoyed going to the beach, sailing at Kentucky Lake and spending time with her grandchildren.

On December 28, 1973, in Sikeston, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Dean Carroll.  Mr. Carroll survives of their home in Dexter.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Clay Carroll of Sikeston, Missouri; by her daughter, Elizabeth Albritton and husband Mike of St. Peters, Missouri; by her brother, Tom Hill and wife Lisa of Greenwood, Missouri; and by her granddaughter, Reese Albritton.

Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Drew Albritton.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Friends of Kids with Cancer, 16 Sunnen Drive, Suite 161, St. Louis MO  63143.  This memorial was very special to the Albritton and Carroll families for all the work they did for Drew.

In Memory of Penny Johnson

Penny L. Johnson of Bloomfield, daughter of the late Billy Gene and JoAnn Olive Flecther Jarrell, was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on November 11, 1966, passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on November 29, 2019, at the age of 53 years, 0 months and 18 days.

Penny had lived in Bloomfield all of her life. She was Southern Baptist Faith and worked as a Truck Driver for BT Express in Sikeston.

On February 18, 2005, she married Donald Johnson in Kingston Tennessee.

Surviving are her husband, Donald Johnson of Bloomfield; one son Shaun Smith of Dexter, two brothers, Tony Jarrell, of Dexter, and Billy Jarrell of Dexter. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter.

In Memory of Mark “Moose” Harold Glenn

Mark “Moose” Harold Glenn, son of the late Harold Moose Glenn and Mary Sue Glenn was born on April 8, 1965 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on November 29, 2019 at the SoutheastHealth of Cape Girardeau at the age of 54.

Mr. Glenn was a Veteran of the United States Navy.  He had worked as a hazmat rated CDL truck driver, and was a resident of Dexter.

On October 10, 2006 he was united in marriage to Dea Reed in Bloomfield, Missouri.  Mrs. Glenn survives of their residence in Dexter.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mycah and husband Derrick Wilburn of Gideon, Missouri and by one granddaughter, Kaitlynn Grace Wilburn.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Elmer Glenn.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Larry Lawman officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Stoddard County Children’s Home, P.O. Box, 164, Dexter, Missouri 63841 or to the Mid America Transplant. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.

In Memory of Wanda May Nolan

Wanda May Nolan, daughter of the late Ivan Johnson and Fay Martin Johnson was born on April 24, 1950 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on November 30, 2019 at the Advance Care Center in Advance, Missouri at the age of 69.

Mrs. Nolan was a resident of Bloomfield and of the Pentecostal faith.  She had attended the Assembly of God Church in Bloomfield for many years.  She had worked as an in-home health care provider, where she took care of the elderly.

On September 5, 1969 she was united in marriage to Mix Nolan in Bloomfield, Missouri.  Mr. Nolan preceded her in death on July 1, 2010.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Seyer and her husband Ryan of Chaffee, Missouri and Sandy Nolan and her fiancé Evan Hicks of Bloomfield, Missouri;  by one brother, Arlin and his wife Jeanette Johnson of Bloomfield; by seven grandchildren, Megan Bruce and her fiancé Brandon Friese, Nathan Bruce, Matthew Cazee, Emma Cazee, Shayna Seyer, Krista Hicks and Titus Hicks, and by one great-granddaughter, Gracelyn Friese.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister in infancy, Geraldine Johnson.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Dale Holman officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield.
