2019 SEMO Conference Boys Basketball Tournament Seeds and Bracket Released

Sikeston, Missouri - The 2019 SEMO Conference Boys Basketball Tournament seeds and bracket have been released.

Games will be held at the Sikeston High School gym from Monday, December 9th - Friday, December 13th.

The Charleston Bluejays earned the #1 seed followed by #2 Notre Dame, #3 Cape, #4 Sikeston, #4 Jackson, #6 Poplar Bluff, #7 Kennett, #8 New Madrid, and #9 Dexter.

Monday, December 9th Schedule:

5:30 p.m. #8 NMCC vs #9 Dexter (Winner plays #1 seed Charleston on Tuesday, December 19th at 7 p.m.) (Loser plays loser of the #2/#7 seed game on Tuesday, December 10th at 8:30 p.m.)

7:00 p.m. #3 Cape vs #6 Poplar Bluff

8:30 p.m. #2 Notre Dame vs #7 Kennett

Tuesday, December 10th Schedule:

5:30 p.m. #4 Sikeston vs #5 Jackson

7:00 p.m. #1 Charleston vs winner of the New Madrid vs Dexter game

8:30 p.m. Losers of the #2/#7 game vs losers of the #8/#9 game

Wednesday, December 11th Schedule:

Games are at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, December 12th Schedule:

 Games are at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The Consolation Game will be at 5: 30 p.m. on Friday, December 13th followed by the 3rd Place game at 7:00 p.m. and the Championship game at 8:30 p.m.8

2019 DHS Fall Sports First Time Letter Recipients

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter High School held their annual Fall Sports Awards Program on Monday, November 18, 2019.  Cross Country, Volleyball, Girls Tennis, Cheer and Football athletes were honored by their coaches.

Each year the Dexter Bearcat Booster Club purchases the letter "D" to be given out to first time letter recipients.

Below are the 2019 Fall Sports Letter Recipients:

Cross Country     Madison Slaton, Maria Ureta, Sophia Chasteen, Kalyn Traw, Gage Coleman, Clayton Bell, Alex Cornelison, and Christopher Stone

Volleyball     Mikayla Dodson and Carly Long

FB Cheer     Bronwen Young, Draven Cato, and Callie Whitaker

Girls Tennis     Jaden Cato, Hannah Frazier, and Makenna Rodgers

Football     Taylor Condict, Caleb Coons, Braxton Greenfield, Logan Josupait, Kaden Kennedy, Luke Blocker, Braydyn Crockett, Harrison Pennington, Carter Pennington, Francois      Haasbroek-Wirz, Brayden Kipper, Malachi Harp, Camden Riley, Michael Smith, Ayden Walters, and Rylan Muzny.

2019 SEMO Girls Conference Basketball Tournament Seeds Released

Cape Girardeau, Missouri - The 2019 SEMO Girls Conference Basketball Tournament seeds and bracket have been released.  The Tournament will be held at the Cape Central High School beginning Monday, December 2, 2019.

Notre Dame Lady Bulldogs earned the #1 seed, followed by #2 Jackson, #3 Poplar Bluff, #4 Saxony Lutheran, #5 Sikeston, #6 Cape Central, #7 Dexter and #8 Kennett.

Monday, December 2nd Schedule:

4:00 p.m. Notre Dame vs Kennett

5:30 p.m. Saxony Lutheran vs Sikeston

7:00 p.m. Jackson vs Dexter

8:30 p.m. Poplar Bluff vs Cape Central

Semifinal games will be on Tuesday, December 3rd at 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

7th Place game will be on Thursday, December 5th at 4 p.m. followed by the Consolation game at 5:30 p.m., 3rd Place game at 7:00 p.m. and Championship Game at 8:30 p.m.

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter High School held their annual Fall Sports Awards Program on Monday, November 18, 2019.  Cross Country, Volleyball, Girls Tennis, Cheer and Football athletes were honored by their coaches.

Award winners

CROSS COUNTRY: Top female runner, Margo Nea; top male runner, Carter Dorton.

VOLLEYBALL: Offense award, Blair Rogers; defense award, Mekenzie Yount; assist award, Dulcie Pullen; most improved award, Alexa Werneck.

GIRLS TENNIS: Top winning percentage (singles), Courtney Northcutt; top winning percentage (doubles), Courtney Northcutt; most valuable teammate (varsity), Jaden Cato; most valuable teammate (JV), Natalie Sells.

FOOTBALL: Most valuable lineman, Ryder Foster; most valuable back, Haden Hillis; most valuable defender, Austin Guy; MVP, Mason Keena.
