Perry Dean Lane, son of the late Delmar Lane and Ruth Edwards Lane, was born on January 8, 1962, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on November 17, 2019, at his residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 57 years.
Mr. Lane was an insurance agent with American National Insurance in Dexter for 13 years. He was a member of the Dexter Elks. He was an official, referee and umpire for numerous athletic associations, including the Missouri State High School Activities Association. Most recently he umpired girls’ softball in the southeast Missouri area; he had also officiated many high school boys’ basketball, football and baseball games, as well as Division I and Division II athletic events. He enjoyed playing golf, especially at Bella Vista in Arkansas. He was also a member of the Fox Haven Country Club and had been a member at the Hidden Trails Country Club as well as the Malden Country Club. He enjoyed boating with his family on Lake Wappapello. After graduating from Richland High School in 1980, he was signed to pitch at the University of Missouri in Columbia. He was also a member of the MU Alumni Association.
On June 10, 1989, in Fayette Missouri, he was united in marriage to Rhonda Kreutzer. Mrs. Lane survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to his wife, Rhonda, he is survived by three daughters, Andrea Thacher and husband Kyle of Boonville, Missouri, Kerri Lane of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Darcie Lane of O’Fallon, Missouri; by his brother, Tim Lane of Dexter, Missouri; by two sisters, Connie Wyant and husband Ray of LaBelle, Florida, and Cherie Chapman and husband Harold of Columbia, Missouri; and by two grandsons, Sam and Will Thacher.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Lane.
Friends may visit with the family at the Dexter Elks Lodge on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Carol Ann Hoggard, daughter of the late Elvis Grady Jackson and Susie Marie Jackson was born on December 20, 1948 in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on November 17, 2019 at the Southeast Health of Stoddard County at the age of 70.
Mrs. Hoggard had worked as a beautician in Kennett, before staying home and raising her children. She was selfless, always thinking of others and was able to help others by way of organ donation after her death, allowing others to have a better life. Her children and grandchildren were her life and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a Christian and accepted Christ at an early age.
She was united in marriage to Charles Dwaine Hoggard on April 13, 1974 in Kennett, Missouri. Mr. Hoggard preceded her in death on July 1, 2014.
She is survived by two sons, Bobby Dwaine Hoggard and Dwaine Hoggard Jr. both of Dexter; by two daughters, Leah Cecil and Tonya Wethington, both of Dexter; by two sisters, Rose Mary Jackson of Dexter and Linda Marie Brandon of Jackson, Missouri; by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby Gene Jackson, Jimmie Dale Jackson and Charles Grady Jackson; and by one sister, Bonita Sue Mines.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter.
Funeral services will then be conducted on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel.

Lily Mae Carver was born August 9, 1926 in Hohenwald, Tennessee to Willie Allen Brewer and Geneva Palestine Guffey. She passed away November 15, 2019 at Cypress Point Nursing Home in Dexter, Missouri at age 93.
Lily was married to Gordon B. Carver on August 13, 1946. They had four children: Carol Carver-Abbruscato (Joe), Gordon Dennis Carver (Colleen), Stanley Wayne Carver (Tammy) and Vivian Sue Carver, deceased. Lily was survived by five living grandchildren and one deceased grandchild and twelve great-grandchildren.
She and Dad were members of Friendship Baptist Church, Pastor Lonny Mittag. She lived at 1002 Hickory Log Lane #13 in Dexter until March 21, 2018 when she moved to Cypress Point Nursing Home.
Visiting will be held at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home on Sunday November 24, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Services will be held Monday November 25, at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Lonny Mittag will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Cemetery of Morley, Missouri.
Food and fellowship will be provided after services by Friendship Baptist Church, 13437 Plaza Heights Drive, Dexter, Missouri.

Ima “Mae” Pope, 90, of Essex, Mo., died peacefully with her loved ones at her side on Nov. 16, 2019, after an extended illness.
The daughter of the late Homer Treadway and Violet Long Treadway, Mae was born in Pontiac, Mich., on Jan. 21, 1929. The family moved to Bernie, Mo., when Mae was a toddler, and she spent her entire life in the communities of Bernie and Essex. A strong work ethic that would be a driving force throughout her life was learned as a child picking cotton in the fields of southern Stoddard County.
Although having only achieved a formal education of eight years, Mae possessed a sense of compassion, caring, understanding and generosity that she effortlessly instilled upon several generations over her lifetime.
At the age of 13, as friends prepared for high school, Mae moved into the household of Buddy and Leota Hunt, where she would serve as cook and housekeeper in order to assist with the family’s income. She would remain in that role until she married the love of her life at the age of 17.
On Oct. 24, 1946, she and Lloyd E. Pope were wed in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death in October 2012. The two shared a multitude of memories over their 65 years together, among them many days fishing on Lake Wappapello and spending time in their cabin there. Also cherished as a couple was time spent in their backyard garden, where every vegetable known to southeast Missouri was harvested and canned for their immediate and extended families and friends.
Mae was a longtime member of Olive Branch Church in rural Essex, where fellow members benefited from her skills in the kitchen. She was perhaps best known for her excellent homestyle country cooking, and her dishes were highly anticipated at church, family and community gatherings. Making and serving the favorite dishes of family, especially her grandchildren, was one of her greatest joys.
She also found joy in quilting and took great pride in every stitch, especially those made for each of her grandchildren.
For many years, she also was employed at International Hat Factory in Dexter.
Mae is survived by her two children, Mike (Deb) Pope and Debbie (Dennis) Wilson, all of Dexter; by three grandchildren: Shaydra Vishe, Stephen (Jessica) Wilson and Eric (Loreli) Wilson; and by seven great-grandchildren: Brooke Patterson, Lauren Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Jace Wilson, Lincoln Wilson and Arden Wilson.
Also surviving are: three sisters: Josephine Stinson, Faye Fortune and Norma Nash; and one brother, Wayne Treadway.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Bill Treadway and Gene Treadway.
Visitation for Mae Pope will take place at Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, from 1 until 2 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Michael Williams officiating.
Burial will take place at Armstead Dowdy Cemetery.

Jackie L. Cooper, son of the late M. L. Cooper and Lula Moore Cooper, was born on September 12, 1944 in Bernie, Missouri and departed this life Thursday, November 14, 2019 at his home in Chesterfield, Missouri at the age of 75 years.
Mr. Cooper retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1028, in St. Louis, Missouri and a member of the Fellowship of Wildwood Baptist Church, in Wildwood, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Peggy Cox Cooper of Chesterfield, Missouri; by two sons, Jackie Cooper II and wife Cheryl of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Jeremy Cooper and wife Rayett of Colorado; by his step-daughter, Angelia Hearon of Alabama; by two brothers, Gene Cooper of Seattle, Washington and Kenneth Cooper of Dexter, Missouri; by his sister, Joann Bowman and husband Carlyn of Bernie, Missouri; by his granddaughter, Briget Cooper of Springfield, Missouri; by three great-nieces, Ashley, Lauren and Rylee; and by many nephews, nieces and friends.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marcus Cooper and Jim Cooper; and by his nephew, Steve Cooper.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military honors.
