Stoddard County, Missouri - It's that time of the year when Boy Scouts from all over Stoddard County will drop off empty bags on your doorstep this Saturday, November 9th beginning at 9 a.m.
Then next Saturday, November 16th those same hard-working scouts will be back to pick up bags filled with donations for our local Stoddard County Gospel Mission.
Any canned good or dry food item is requested.
If you don't get a bag at your house, but you still want to donate you can drop off your food items at the Mission on Saturday, November 16th.
What items can be dropped off or placed in the bags? Applesauce, canned goods, crackers, oatmeal, rice, pasta, cooking oils, flour, peanut butter, trail mix, canned chili, dry beans in a bag, dry rice, boxes of dry muffin mix, Ramen noodles, canned fruit, spaghetti or noodles, and cans of soup.
This is the largest service project of the year for Boy Scouts.
