Fiddler's Fish House Family Honored at DHS Football Halftime

Dexter, Missouri - Dexter Public School honored the Fiddler's Fish House and the Williams family at halftime of the Dexter football game against Malden on Friday, October 25, 2019.

The Williams family has owned Fiddlers Fish House in Dexter for nearly 36 years.  They along with Toni Brown have provided fish, chicken, cases of Pepsi and hushpuppies for game officials and the press box staff at home games on Friday nights.

They did so for the last time Friday night as they will close their doors Saturday.

"We can't thank them enough for their generosity toward out school and I think we can speak for the entire community that we will miss you all!"

As a token of appreciation the Bearcat family made a donation in honor of Tayton Williams and in memory of Richard Williams and their parents Rick and Marilyn Williams.

The donation will go to the Williams-Taylor Memorial Fund to provide scholarships for Stoddard County Families.

"Thank you Roy and Toni and the entire Fiddler's family.  We wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors."

The presentation was made by athletic director Josh Dowdy.
