In Memory of  Jerrold “Jerry” E. Thrower

 Jerrold “Jerry” E. Thrower was born November 22, 1932 and died at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on October 24, 2019 after a lengthy illness.  He was 86 years old.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Everett and Erma Coleman Thrower.  He is survived by his brother Tom Thrower and wife Lisa of Longview, Texas. He is also survived by four nephews, one niece and several great nephews and nieces. Jerry was never married.

Jerry was very proud of his military career. He served in the U.S. Navy on board a destroyer during the Vietnam War as a sonar technician.  Jerry retired from the Navy in 1979 after 22 years of service.

Graveside services will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.  Jerry was a member of the First Christian Church in Dexter, Missouri and Reverend Mike Williams will officiate. 

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 224 E Stoddard Street, Dexter, Missouri 63841 or the Regional Healthcare Foundation, 215 West Grant, Dexter, Missouri 63841.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
