2019 Miss DHS Candidate Ann Marie Slaton

Dexter, Missouri - The 2019 Miss DHS was announced Friday, September 13th at the Bearcat Event Center.  Because of construction at Charles Bland Stadium each candidate was presented and escorted in front of the entire high school.

The eighth candidate was Ann Marie Slaton

Ann Marie is 17 years old and the daughter of Wesley and Patricia Slaton.

She is active in Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Softball.

Her future plans are to attend Southeast Missouri State University and double major in elementary education and business. She hopes to open and run her own daycare for her church to offer a place of learning and fun for children in the community.

Ann Marie is being escorted by Mr. Drew Soule.

Drew is 17 years old and the son of Andrew and Vickie Soule.

Drew’s three words to describe Ann Marie are Gorgeous, Intelligent, and Hardworking.

Dexter, Missouri - The 2019 Miss DHS was announced Friday, September 13th at the Bearcat Event Center.  Because of construction at Charles Bland Stadium each candidate was presented and escorted in front of the entire high school.

The seventh candidate was Blair Rogers

Blair is the 17-year-old daughter of Robin Northern and the late Aaron Rogers. 

She is active in Student Council, Beta Club, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Varsity Volleyball, and Varsity Basketball Cheer.

Blair’s plans for the future include attending Mizzou and majoring in political science. She aspires to eventually become a lawyer.

Blair is being escorted by Mr. Garrett Henson.

Garrett is the 17-year-old son of Elizabeth and Dennis Henson.

Garrett describes Blair as funny, crazy, and beautiful.

The sixth candidate was Emily Pyle.

Emily is the 17-year old daughter of Leslie and Joey Pyle.

Her activities include:  Beta Club, FBLA, and FCCLA  

Emily’s future plans are to attend college, but is undecided on a career path.

Emily is being escorted by Mr. Alex Dugan

Alex is 15 years old and the son of Allen and Angie Dugan.

Alex’s three words to describe his girlfriend are:  Outgoing, Benevolent, and Gnarly.

The fifth candidate was Sydney Patrick.

Sydney is 17 years old and the daughter of Gerri Ann Simmons and Christopher Patrick.

Sydney is active in:  Beta Club, FBLA, FCCLA, Student Council, and Yearbook

After graduation, Sydney plans to attend Arkansas State University to get a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Science, they she plans to attend Logan University to receive a doctorate of chiropractic care.

Sydney is being escorted by Mr. Carson Bell

Carson is 17 years old and the son of Christian and Mendy Bell.

Carson’s three words to describe Sydney are: Beautiful, Kind, and Intelligent.

Margo is the 18-year-old daughter of Mark and Amber Nea.

She is active in Beta Club, Student Council, FBLA, FCA, National Honor Society, Varsity Cross Country, and Varsity Track.

Her plans for the future include attending a four year university and becoming a Physician’s Assistant.

Margo is being escorted by Mr. Josiah Payne

Josiah is the 17-year-old son of Joseph and Melonie Payne.

Josiah’s three words to describe Margo are:  Kind, Fun, and Dedicated.
