
Daniel Lee Petty, son of the late Charles Lee Petty and Mary Elizabeth Swinger Petty, was born on August 15, 1959 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on Saturday, July 27, 2019 near Cave City, Arkansas at the age of 59 years.
Mr. Petty enjoyed the many hours he spent working on the family farm. He was a member of the Broadwater Church of the Brethren and a resident of Essex, Missouri.
He is survived by his son, Zach Petty and wife Malarie of Sikeston, Missouri; by his sister Marie Froman and husband Steve of Patterson, Missouri; and by one grandchild, Raelynn Reese.

A private, family only, memorial service is being planned for a later date, on the family farm.

Jerry Ronald Barker, son of the late Billy Joe Barker and Irene Lovella Blocker Barker was born in Bernie, Missouri on July 24, 1944 and departed this life in Rural Parma, Missouri on July 26, 2019 at the age of 75.
Mr. Barker was a farmer and was of Baptist Faith.
He was united in marriage to Donna Sue Sandusky in Bernie, Missouri on February 27, 1965.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Sue Barker of Parma, Missouri; by one daughter, Sherri LeAnn Barker of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by two grandsons, Bryce Simmons & Brock Simmons both of Dexter, Missouri; also by other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his parents, by one daughter, Jacqueline “Jacki” Simmons on August 18, 1998; and by one sister, Betty Stone.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.

Earl James Scroggins, son of the late Earl A. Scroggins and Alice Hopcus Scroggins, was born on December 17, 1939 in Paris, Arkansas and departed this life on July 25, 2019 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 79 years.
Mr. Scroggins was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a former tool machinist for Arvin Automotive, for 19 years and for 19 years at Hyster in Peoria, Illinois. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter.
On October 22, 1966, in Peoria, Illinois, he was united in marriage to Roberta Seiwell. Mrs. Scroggins survives at their home near Dexter.
In addition to his wife, Roberta, he is survived by his son, Tom Scroggins of Dexter; by his daughter, Cindy Pennington and husband Bryan of Dexter, by his brother, Louis Scroggins of Peoria, Illinois; by three grandchildren, Courtney Tidwell and husband Matt, Courtney Stearns and husband Josh, and Megan Sandage and husband Jordan; and by five great-grandchildren, Shailyn Sandage, Kaiden Sandage, Hadley Stearns, Ridge Stearns, and Logan Tidwell.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Angie Scroggins.

Byrrl (Pat) Keith, 89 of Poplar Bluff died Friday, July 19, 2019 in Poplar Bluff. he was born May 5, 1930 to Harrison and Louie (née Pratt) Keith.
Mr. Keith loved helping people and making them laugh. He enjoyed gardening and recycling.
He is survived by his daughter Lynda Cornelius of Poplar Bluff; one son Harry (Pamela) of Madison, Wisconsin; one grandson Michael Cornelius of Poplar Bluff; one sister Jane Tucker of Bloomfield, Missouri: one brother Lee of Madison, Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 o’clock to 7:00 PM Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Morgan Sifford funeral home in Puxico. The funeral will immediately follow. A social gathering will be held afterwards at Casa Lopez restaurant in Puxico.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to care and share benefiting local veterans. A donation basket will be available during the service.

Larry G. Southerland of Moscow Mills, Missouri, son of the late Melvin and Wilma Lois Thrower Southerland, was born in Dexter, Missouri on April 1, 1942, and passed away at Progress West in O'Fallon, Missouri on July 18, 2019, at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 17 days.
Larry had lived in Moscow Mills for many years. He was a retired custodian with the Fort Zumwalt School District. He enjoyed collecting foreign coins and spending time with his grandchildren.
On July 14, 1968 he married Marilyn Darlene Pullum in Essex, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn D. Southerland of Moscow Mills, Missouri; one son, Duke Southerland of Moscow Mills, Missouri; one daughter, Tina Jarrell of Dexter, Missouri; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, after 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter until time of services at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Michael Lee of Bell City officiating.
Interment will follow in the Caroline Dowdy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
