In Memory of Carolyn Corlew

Carolyn Corlew, daughter of the late James William “Jay” Rankins and Juanita O’Neal Rankins was born on June 26, 1952 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on May 11, 2019 at the SoutheastHEALTH of Stoddard County at the age of 66.
Mrs. Corlew was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, where she sang in the choir. Carolyn served as creative partner and CFO of the Joe Craig Luxury Group. After four decades in the profession, her passion surrounded the company’s education and charity efforts. Carolyn was proudest of her role as a founding partner of The Soulmarks Foundation.
On August 12, 1972 she was united in marriage to Randy Corlew in Gray Ridge. Mr. Corlew survives of their home in Essex.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Clinton Randall Corlew and wife Jamie of Essex and Jeffrey O’Neal Corlew and wife Lindsey of Charleston, Missouri; by one daughter, Cristi Jo Comfort and husband Jason of Dexter; by one sister, Marilyn Jiles of Gray Ridge and by six grandchildren; Maci Jo Comfort, Lila Beth Corlew, Cali Celeste Comfort, Chaney Grace Corlew, Jase Holden Comfort and Brooks Caroline Corlew.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Funeral services will then be conducted on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the New Essex Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Community Loving and Supporting Students (Class) c/o Toni Pyle, 807 Bent Creek, Dexter, Missouri 63841. Envelopes will be provided at the Funeral Home.
