Rib City Shootout Dates Set for Summer 2019
Dexter, Missouri - More than 700 basketball and volleyball teams from 7 states will ascend upon Dexter during the summer.  Middle School and High School athletes and their families are expected to attend the 10th annual Rib City Shootout! A total of 8 shootouts this summer along with a 3v3 tournament.

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter boys tennis team fell to Farmington on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 by a score of 5-4.

Below are the results for the singles and doubles matches.

Singles

No. 1 Nathaniel Greif (F) def. Eric Hahn (D) 8-4.

No. 2 Nate Gargas (D) def. Alexander Hatch (F) 8-3.

No. 3 Logan Wyman (D) def. Colton Woody (F) 8-5.

No. 4 Blane Worley (F) def. Ryder Boles (D) 8-6.

No. 5 Travis Propst (D) def. Matthew Rotter (F) 8-2.

No. 6 Chase Reynolds (F) def. Eric Allen (D) 8-0.

Doubles

No. 1 Greif/Hatch (F) def. Hahn/Gargas (D) 9-7.

No. 2 Wyman/Allen (D) def. Woody/Rotter (F) 9-8 (7-5).

No. 3 Worley/Carson Sutton (F) def. Boles/Propst 8-6.

Dexter will face Jackson at home on Thursday, April 18th pending the weather.  Match time is 4 p.m.

Dexter Bearcats Golf Team Beats Notre Dame and Sikeston at Hidden Trails

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter Bearcats golf team went 2-0  in a double dual match on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Hidden Trails Country Club.

The 'Cats defeated both Notre Dame (172) and Sikeston (195) with a score of 163.

Spencer Warren of Dexter and Nate Hulshof of Notre Dame shared top honors with a 3-over 39.

Cy Worley (40), Ryan Collier (41), and Lucke Becker (43) completed the team score of 163.

Dexter Golf Team Sets Record at Jackson Invitational
Jackson, Missouri - The Dexter Bearcats golf team broke a school record on Monday, April 15, 2019 at the Jackson Invitational Golf Tournament.

The 'Cats posted a record 306 at the 18-hole course to finish second to Jackson in the 12-team tournament at Kimbeland Country Club.  Their previous record was 313 set in 2010.

“Proud of the guys today,” Dexter coach Eric Sitze stated. “That’s a great score. We had perfect weather for lower scoring. We took advantage of it today.”

Four Dexter golfers finished in the top 15.

Spencer Warren shot a 2-over 73. Cy Worley tied for seventh with 76. Ryan Collier was ninth with 77, and Dylan Sitze was 12th with 80.

Jackson’s Case Engelhart shot a 2-under 69 to win the individual title. 

Jackson finished with a team score of 287, and all five of its golfers finished in the top 11.

Dexter Golf Team Wins Festus Invitational

Festus, Missouri - The Dexter Bearcats fought a lot of wind today at the Festus Invitational to come out on top beating North County and St. Vincent. 

Dexter scored a 320 earning the top spot followed by North County 350 and St. Vincent 369.

"We will take that score today," commented Dexter golf coach Eric Sitze. "The wind was definitely a factor blowing around 20 mph."

"It was nice to see all the guys finishing in the top 10 and most importantly we gained more experience playing Crown Point today," continued Sitze.

Spencer Warren finished first with a score of 75.

Ryan Collier tied for 2nd with a score of 79 followed by Cy Worley finished 5th with 82, Dylan Sitze tied for 6th with a score of 84 and Luke Becker finished 9th with a score of 87.
