Dexter T.S. Hill Middle School - This listing of T.S. Hill Middle School activities is a service offered by the ShowMe Times, working in partnership with C.A. Counts, Superintendent, Scott Kruse, Middle School Principal and the Dexter Public Schools for your convenience.

We hope you will mark your calendar and we encourage everyone to support our local students and their activities.  The education and growth of young people in our community is the key to everyone's future!

Bell City, Missouri - The Bell City Elementary Kindergarten Screening for the 2019 - 2020 school year wil be held on Friday, March 29,2019 at the Bell City United Methodist Church.

Please call (573) 733-4444, extension 2 to schedule your appointment.

The following items must be brought to the screening:

1.  Birth Certificate

2.  Social Security Card

3. Immunization Record

Your child must be 5 years old before August 1, 2019.

DHS Art Students Have Work Shown at SEMO

Dexter, Missouri - Four Dexter High school art students have nine pieces of work amonth them accepted by the Southeast Missouri State University Art Department.

Those selected pieces will appear at the 41st Annual High School Art Exhibition entitled the Exhibition of Excellence fro now until March 17th.

The exhibition will appear at the Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus in cape Girardeau.

From left to right are Savannah Gourley, Jillian Avery, Madeline Ayers, and Addyson Green.

Two students received awards for their artwork.

Gourley earned second place in drawing and mixed media and honorable mention in fibers.

Avery earned third place in printmaking and mixed media.

Kindergarten Class Earns 3Rs Flag for February 2019
Dexter, Missouri - The Kindergarten classroom of Mrs. Cecil earned the Southwest Elementary Positive Behavioral Support Reward Flag for February 2019.

School Wide Positive Behavioral Support (SWPBS) award is presented at the start of each month at Southwest Elementary.  One classroom in each grade is recognized for exhibiting the high character with regard to observing the school's 3R's.

The 3R's stand for being Respectful, Ready to Learn and Responsible.  The class with the highest attendance average, combined with the fewest disciplinary measures and general good character are awarded a 3R red flag to be posted in their classroom for the next month.  The students are also awarded "Cat in the Hat" capes to wear and parade around the gym before returning to class.  This year's theme is Dr. Seuss!
